Welcome back to another edition of health ag as I continue my series on my favorite quotes. Today's quote comes from the Dalai Lama, who said, A man can have 1000 dreams until he doesn't have his health. And then he has bought one. And of course, being an integrative health practitioner and working with my clients to regain their health or further optimize their health or create

longevity, this quote is impactful in the work that I do. We've often been raised to give up our power when it comes to our health to take it for granted, to simply do nothing until we get sick, and then go to the doctor expecting them to fix us. However, when we get sick, there's nothing about us that is broken. And we don't need to give up our power and expect someone else to fix us. We need to be involved in that healing journey ourselves take responsibility for how we got to where we're at, and know that whatever has been done can be undone because our human body is such a fabulous organism that is designed to self heal. And so while it is helpful to reach out to practitioners for guidance in our healing journey, the answer is not in giving up our power and then having someone else do it for us. It is about getting involved. Stepping into the healing journey, taking responsibility, taking action ourselves, under the guidance of somebody that can show you the way because they've been there or studied that themselves so that you're not trying to research it all on your own on Dr. Google, which of course is stressful when you tried to do it all on your own and the body doesn't heal in a stressed out state. What I just really want you to take away from today though, is the importance of your health. Stop taking it for granted. prioritize it. And then live those 1000 dreams because you have your health as opposed to lying in a sick bed and wishing you had done things differently. Start doing things differently today so that you don't ever end up in that sick bed. Comment below what does this quote mean to you? A man can have 1000 dreams until he doesn't have his health. And then he has but one
