Melissa Deally:

Welcome back to another edition of health hack. And this week, I want to talk to you about how the body heals itself and provide some resources for you. In order for you to be able to read a book, watch a documentary to further understand this for yourself, because it is so often not what is taught to us, we're taught that if we get sick, we go to the doctor, they make us better. However, if you stop and think about it for a minute, your bones heal themselves. And yes, a cast can help hold it a mobile while it heals itself, but bones regrow. And the beautiful thing about the miracle of our entire body is that our body is designed to self heal, when we create the environment for it to do so. And what's happening in our world today is that the body is just too deficient in order for it to be able to do so and so we have to first create this environment, and then the body can heal itself. And so what is making our body so deficient? Well, first of all, high stress has us burning through our vitamin and mineral levels, our nutrient depleted soil systems mean that it's harder for us to get the vitamins and minerals into our body. Because if they're not in the soil, they don't get grown into the food, they don't get into our body so we can be deficient in key vitamins and minerals that are needed in the healing process. Our immune system can be weaker as a result, poor sleep also weakens our immune system weakens the and causes an imbalance in the health of our gut, and 70% of our immune system is housed in our gut. And we are all interconnected. So we need to be looking at all of these things. And helping bring the body back into balance by supporting it nutritionally by supporting it. By lowering stress and choosing to have counter procedures or counter activities to the stress that we have in our life. We all have stress in our life. But what can we be doing to counter that? Keeping our stress at a more sustainable level so that we're not just living in fight or flight, but we're getting out of fight or flight and getting into our rest and digest parasympathetic nervous system. So it's sleep, nutrition, managing our stress, and then ensuring that we are we know where our bodies are at running lab tests to be able to see where is my body at right now? Where is it out of balance? What are my inflammation levels, what is going on inside my gut? Where am I hormones at? Are they out of balance, because this is all information information for you, in order that you can help your body be in optimal health. Chronic Illness is running rampant in our world today. And too many people are being told that it's a life sentence. And that is not the truth. When we create the environment for the body to heal, the body can heal from chronic illness, from things like heart disease, type two diabetes, obesity, leaky gut, irritable bowel syndrome, autoimmune diseases, some forms of cancer, these are all chronic illnesses, and they do not have to be a life sentence. The body is designed to heal, we just need to get curious as to why we have the pain, what that is trying to tell us and what we can do about it. And if you're not sure, reach out and seek help from somebody who wants to help you truly heal versus simply mask a symptom and make the pain go away in the short term. But that creates another symptom down the line because your body goes, That's not what I want it. And so it gives you another symptom to have you pay attention to try and have you then take action for what your body wanted in the first place. So reach out happy to have a conversation with you and help. This is what I love to do. And we do not have to have all the chronic illness we have in the world today. When people realize that there are actually options to healing and that it really doesn't have to be a life sentence.
