Melissa Deally:

Welcome back to another episode of health x as I continue talking about the benefits of hydration. And today I want to talk about that in relation to healthy skin. Because good hydration results in improved skin elasticity and moisture as well as promoting a healthy complexion and minimizing the appearance of wrinkles, which of course, we all want fewer wrinkles as we age. And further to that. healthy levels of hydration also help flush toxins from the body through our urine and our sweat. And you know that I'm always talking about the importance of detoxifying. And if you're doing an actual detox program, you need to increase your hydration to two thirds your body weight in water. So on a daily basis, you want to be drinking about half your body weight in water, but during an actual detox program, you want to increase that to two thirds. So if you weigh 150 pounds, two thirds of that is then 100. So you want to be drinking 100 ounces of waters through a detox and it was through detoxing that I was actually able to finally clear up my complexion from adult acne I'd had chat teenage acne and it went straight into adult acne and I never really understood why until I started learning about getting the toxins out of my body and then that improved my complexion. So hydration and complexion go hand in hand and keep on coming back for the rest of this month as I continue to share with you tips on how hydration is of benefit to your overall health and well being
