Hi, I am Lori Osborne, and I am the Founder and Chief Solutions Architect for BizBolster Web Solutions, LLC. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me so you can best determine if we would work well together! If you are a small business owner/manager, solopreneur, or you support a non-profit, we’re off to a good start. My focus is to provide businesses like yours with more than a website… I want to provide you with a marketing solution that WORKS for you! I absolutely love technology…I love everything about it! Building websites and planning digital marketing strategies are my passion (they literally get me up in the morning) and providing you with this expertise is my calling. I have worked in technology for over 25 years in a wide variety of sectors. I have also owned two small businesses and have been part of several others, so I know what it’s like to wear a dozen different hats.

Regardless of the role or title, my main strengths have always been communication, planning, quality control/testing, content creation, and attention to detail. (Yes, I am a recovering Type A and a Perfectionist!) So while I’m meeting your technical and marketing needs, I am also applying these skills. But building your website and planning your digital marketing strategy is much more than just understanding technology and pushing keys on a keyboard! It takes understanding you and your area of specialty, as well as understanding the proper marketing approach to take to ensure that your website is exceptional at attracting prospects and turning those prospects into clients. Your website needs to do more than just look good - it needs to literally be the hub of your business and your marketing!

Howard Brown:

technology, and has been a small business owner for 15 years. She

is married to the love of her life and they live in Amelia

Howard Brown:

Howard Brown:

my god, this is great. Well welcome and maybe share it share

Howard Brown:

a little something that you know, not everybody knows about.

Howard Brown:

Yeah, what's a little secret we should know.

Howard Brown:

About I have two trophies from growing up. One from bowling in

Howard Brown:

the third grade and one from debate in high school. So you've

Howard Brown:

got to trophy and you still have these trophies.

Lori Osbourne:

Oh my all the trophies I own. I was not good

Lori Osbourne:

at sports at all. But boy, I can debate.

Howard Brown:

Alright, so I have to tell you I'm from New England

Howard Brown:

and New England has candle pin the fin pens, but these are

Howard Brown:

probably regular bowling, right?

Lori Osbourne:

Yeah. And I don't think I can even do as well

Lori Osbourne:

today as I did back in third grade.

Howard Brown:

Trophy winner. Alright, so debate. Just what

Howard Brown:

was the what was a cool question and and during this debate that

Howard Brown:

you got a trophy for?

Lori Osbourne:

I don't even remember, you go awful. I do not

Lori Osbourne:

remember, I just remember that. I really love research. And I

Lori Osbourne:

just like I love speaking to. But I think I enjoyed the

Lori Osbourne:

research part, and preparing more than even doing the debate

Lori Osbourne:

part. Even though that was you know, quite comfortable as well.

Lori Osbourne:

You know, I actually told my mom when I was 12 years old, I was

Lori Osbourne:

going to be a public speaker when I grew up. So yeah, yeah,

Lori Osbourne:

well,

Howard Brown:

those trophies, those trophies are a part of

Howard Brown:

your childhood. Thank you for sharing that out. I want to tell

Howard Brown:

you that we were introduced. And for those that are we'll see on

Howard Brown:

video, the art of connection. And this is volume three that

Howard Brown:

both Lori and I were both in this book. This is a

Howard Brown:

collaborative author book, you are March 2, I'm September 20.

Howard Brown:

And you We both met Robert Jones and Natalie, McQueen and Buddy

Howard Brown:

Thorton, the team that puts all this together. And this is a

Howard Brown:

great network. I actually I know you actually have some type of a

Howard Brown:

role in the network where you actually MC one of the network's

Howard Brown:

I think on Mondays i Come on Tuesdays. How did you get

Howard Brown:

connected with Robert and this whole group?

Lori Osbourne:

You know, it's crazy. I just I had a coach in

Lori Osbourne:

Phoenix. And I just started meeting people from Phoenix. And

Lori Osbourne:

someone I we just got on a call one day and she goes, I really

Lori Osbourne:

want to invite you to one of these meetings where we

Lori Osbourne:

interview people that aren't even members. And I'm like,

Lori Osbourne:

Wait, you're giving me a spotlight opportunity when I'm

Lori Osbourne:

not even a member will Heck yeah, because I'm all about DC

Lori Osbourne:

to get business. And Robert followed up with this phenomenal

Lori Osbourne:

deal to join and be in the book at A and that was it. You know,

Lori Osbourne:

I'm like, Okay, you you have made it so easy to be part of

Lori Osbourne:

your network. How could I say no. And it just grew from there.

Lori Osbourne:

Yeah,

Howard Brown:

so I met Natalie McQueen. And she was like, your

Howard Brown:

book is lonely. I had my memoir shining brightly, I only think

Howard Brown:

on my author page for Amazon. And to write a single page about

Howard Brown:

an inspirational quote about shining brightly and kind of my

Howard Brown:

whole movement was easy to do. And then I got into knowing the

Howard Brown:

community. And you know, now that they're actually, you know,

Howard Brown:

the fourth book coming out, there's 1200, heartfelt, you

Howard Brown:

know, people and the community is great. I've met a tonne of

Howard Brown:

people and that's how you and I got introduced now. Your quote

Howard Brown:

we're going to talk about a little bit later, but you face

Howard Brown:

some tough times here. So, and I've heard you talk about

Howard Brown:

resilience before. But tell us take us through the journey of

Howard Brown:

resilience and the challenges that you overcame a little bit

Howard Brown:

Sure.

Lori Osbourne:

So, you know, I know everybody, just about

Lori Osbourne:

everybody in the world has had a hard life. I, you know, I

Lori Osbourne:

started my life, literally not knowing who my father was I've

Lori Osbourne:

lost three families in my entire life. As a result, I ended up

Lori Osbourne:

marrying someone at 19 that I had no business marrying and I

Lori Osbourne:

didn't want to divorce so I was in a very abusive marriage for

Lori Osbourne:

16. I was with him for 18 years came during that I think what

Lori Osbourne:

what really the crutch was and finally having the desire and

Lori Osbourne:

need to leave was I got colon cancer. And I am fully fully

Lori Osbourne:

believe it was all from stress, I was only 36 years old. And

Lori Osbourne:

within two years, I realised this is this is literally

Lori Osbourne:

killing me, I need to get out. And then I lost my mother at 63

Lori Osbourne:

to cancer, I also lost my grandmother at 63 to cancer. And

Lori Osbourne:

about 2015 I found out I have a brain tumour. And it is a

Lori Osbourne:

meningioma, it's benign, most of them are, but it can't be

Lori Osbourne:

removed, it sits on my pituitary, and my it was pushing

Lori Osbourne:

on my optical nerve, and it is part of my carotid artery. So

Lori Osbourne:

they did do surgery to go in to get it off my optical nerve,

Lori Osbourne:

nicked my carotid caused a brain bleed caused my left eye to go

Lori Osbourne:

mostly blind. And then had to do a second surgery where they had

Lori Osbourne:

to replace my septum. And it just, you know, it's a lot of

Lori Osbourne:

trouble for not doing anything, really to the tumour. And a lot

Lori Osbourne:

of chronic pain as a as a result. But you know, the thing

Lori Osbourne:

is, and the thing that I write about in the book is, yeah,

Lori Osbourne:

these horrible things happen to us. And at the end of the day,

Lori Osbourne:

it's all about your attitude towards it. And what I got out

Lori Osbourne:

of it was, I didn't want to go back to the corporate world, I

Lori Osbourne:

didn't feel like I could even handle the stress of IT project

Lori Osbourne:

management anymore. So I just started looking for something to

Lori Osbourne:

do to be productive, and maybe turn into a business someday.

Lori Osbourne:

And discovered web design. Obviously, I was in technology,

Lori Osbourne:

I was a project manager for websites, but I'd never

Lori Osbourne:

Honestly, I've never had a creative job in my life ever.

Lori Osbourne:

And I had this whole creative part of me that wasn't even

Lori Osbourne:

being used. So I started doing web design and realised oh my

Lori Osbourne:

gosh, all this analytical side of me can be used. And I can be

Lori Osbourne:

creative, and I'm really good at it. So I at how old was I then

Lori Osbourne:

46 years old, found my passion. And I am grateful, literally

Lori Osbourne:

grateful for this tumour because I don't know if I would have

Lori Osbourne:

ever gotten here without it. So

Howard Brown:

So,are you thinking that part of your

Howard Brown:

resiliency and healing was finding your passion?

Lori Osbourne:

Um, yeah, and I think that I just, you know,

Lori Osbourne:

I've just developed resiliency over my lifetime of just

Lori Osbourne:

overcoming challenges and coming out with with a better attitude

Lori Osbourne:

from it. You know, it's, I think that's the key, like you can,

Lori Osbourne:

you can have bad times in life, and you can just live and wallow

Lori Osbourne:

in it. Or you can look at it and go, Okay, you know, my marriage?

Lori Osbourne:

Yeah, I could look at it that I wasted 18 years of my life, or I

Lori Osbourne:

can look at it as I had 18 years to learn what I did not want

Lori Osbourne:

what did not work for me. And now I am married to literally

Lori Osbourne:

the perfect person that I feel like was built just to offset me

Lori Osbourne:

and my personality. Like, I don't know how it's possible,

Lori Osbourne:

but literally, our personalities were just meant to be together,

Lori Osbourne:

complete opposite of my first marriage. So I think it's all

Lori Osbourne:

attitude. I think resiliency is attitude at the end of

Howard Brown:

the day, and c equals attitude. Yeah, I, I

Howard Brown:

agree with you. I mean, I I say in my book, and I say when I

Howard Brown:

speak as well, that, you know, we all get knocked down in life

Howard Brown:

and in business and in with our cases health, and in human

Howard Brown:

relationships, and, and others. And we can learn from that, that

Howard Brown:

darkness and now use the light and darkness and my book with a

Howard Brown:

shining brightly is that we can learn from that. And it's what

Howard Brown:

you do to get back up again. And you've done it you've gotten

Howard Brown:

back up and that's the that's the game. That's that's the

Howard Brown:

point of getting back up again, and learning from those past

Howard Brown:

relationships, those past business experience, the health

Howard Brown:

experiences, and to find that spot now. And that that's that

Howard Brown:

is true resiliency. I mean, you're You're a model, I'm a

Howard Brown:

model of that as well. Very, very important. And I will tell

Howard Brown:

you that building, you know, websites is really important

Howard Brown:

because I look at that is all this social media up, you know,

Howard Brown:

the home home place for these businesses is their website and

Howard Brown:

a lot of people are, that's how you get your leads, it's how you

Howard Brown:

actually get your revenue, it's how you do your customer

Howard Brown:

support. So it becomes a very central core part and core

Howard Brown:

element of a small business. And you know this, and this is what

Howard Brown:

you deliver. So take me through so you, you are now doing this

Howard Brown:

and very successful at it as far as what more for the small

Howard Brown:

businesses? What Why is it so important that they have a very

Howard Brown:

interactive, very, you know, website that actually has all

Howard Brown:

the technology and all the things to be able to attract and

Howard Brown:

retain customers? So take me through kind of what you tell a

Howard Brown:

small business owner?

Lori Osbourne:

You touched on it so well. So okay, at the I would

Lori Osbourne:

say I am a techie Lord, oh, well look at you go. At the end of

Lori Osbourne:

the day, our websites do need to be the hub of our business. And

Lori Osbourne:

it's important to remember, social media is great. It's all

Lori Osbourne:

about being seen, but you don't own social media, you don't own

Lori Osbourne:

those contacts, and Facebook can shut you down, LinkedIn can shut

Lori Osbourne:

you down. So your website does need to be that hug. And it does

Lori Osbourne:

need to be the place where you are collecting the emails to be

Lori Osbourne:

in touch with people to nurture them. And how do you do that?

Lori Osbourne:

I'll be honest, not by offering a newsletter and not by offering

Lori Osbourne:

a free call, those are great things. But what you want to

Lori Osbourne:

offer is something that will actually help the person with

Lori Osbourne:

their problems. Hopefully, they're coming to you with

Lori Osbourne:

what's in it for me. So they've got a problem, and they're

Lori Osbourne:

coming to you to solve it. So if you can give them one thing that

Lori Osbourne:

shows them how you can solve their problem that they can

Lori Osbourne:

download or watch or benefit from, then you've started the

Lori Osbourne:

relationship of the know like and trust, which is what we need

Lori Osbourne:

to build business today. Because you're if you're selling

Lori Osbourne:

anything of high value, they're not coming to your website to

Lori Osbourne:

buy it. Like then people are not coming to my website to sign up

Lori Osbourne:

to buy a website, they're coming to my website to get to know

Lori Osbourne:

Lorie, and how I operate and how I can help them. So I want to

Lori Osbourne:

build that know, like and trust. And that's, to me, that's the

Lori Osbourne:

key of the website. It's the beginning of that relationship,

Lori Osbourne:

showing them how you can help them showing your knowledge. And

Lori Osbourne:

and when I say that, I don't mean the 500 letters after your

Lori Osbourne:

name that they don't care at all about they care about how can

Lori Osbourne:

you really help me solve my problems at the end of the day,

Lori Osbourne:

or make more money, which is could be part of their problem?

Lori Osbourne:

However, whatever you do that solves their issues. Yeah,

Howard Brown:

no, I I absolutely agree. So tell me about some of

Howard Brown:

your success stories.

Lori Osbourne:

You know, my favourite website is also the

Lori Osbourne:

largest website I've done, but it's my favourite because it

Lori Osbourne:

makes such an impact. The Department of Health in Nassau

Lori Osbourne:

County, Florida, which is where I live, they decided to take

Lori Osbourne:

their CDC money for opioid addiction, and build a website

Lori Osbourne:

for our community. And they wanted to use community people

Lori Osbourne:

to do it. So they hired me. And I got a local videographer, a

Lori Osbourne:

copywriter, a photographer, a whole team. And we built this

Lori Osbourne:

amazing website to address opioid addiction. There's

Lori Osbourne:

education, there are 10 videos out there that are heart warming

Lori Osbourne:

and heartbreaking. I mean, there's there's true stories of

Lori Osbourne:

opioid addicts that have overcome it, have family members

Lori Osbourne:

that have gone through it with other people. And they're all

Lori Osbourne:

from our community. So it's so special, because it I have a I

Lori Osbourne:

have a half brother, who is somewhere on a street somewhere

Lori Osbourne:

addicted to drugs. And I'm sure we all know someone who is I

Lori Osbourne:

mean, opioid pandemic is just insane. So to make that kind of

Lori Osbourne:

difference, like I literally just have goosebumps right now

Lori Osbourne:

just talking about it, because it it was such a special

Lori Osbourne:

project. And I just loved that I was part of it.

Howard Brown:

I love that project. It's local, it's deep,

Howard Brown:

and it's meaningful work, and you got to architect and build

Howard Brown:

it out it that's a really cool win. I appreciate that. Now,

Howard Brown:

we're going to be in Book Three of the art of connection. Now,

Howard Brown:

this is a topic that's very important to me. It's gratitude,

Howard Brown:

gratitude. And you and I after all the stuff that we've been

Howard Brown:

through, we are both still very grateful for the things that we

Howard Brown:

do have the relationships we have our health now, even though

Howard Brown:

it's never completely over, I can tell you that right? I have.

Howard Brown:

They call it brain fog or chemo brain it's PTSD. I used to

Howard Brown:

remember names, it's it just frustrates me, I'm not as good

Howard Brown:

with names anymore. But emotionally I've been through so

Howard Brown:

much, you know, so much chemo surgeries and just dealing with

Howard Brown:

that trauma, maybe it'll come back, maybe it won't, you know,

Howard Brown:

it, just the gift that keeps on giving. So I hear you on that.

Howard Brown:

But gratitude is so important to be thankful for what you what

Howard Brown:

you do have. And and it's important. So I can't wait to

Howard Brown:

read in the Arctic connection, you know, the next book about

Howard Brown:

what people are grateful for, because it's so important today,

Howard Brown:

to be thankful for what you do have. And if you if you if you

Howard Brown:

want something else, you can set the goals and go for it. But

Howard Brown:

let's be grateful, and be gratitude for what we do have,

Howard Brown:

you know, in family, in business and in health and in

Howard Brown:

relationships? I agree with that. So I'm excited for that.

Howard Brown:

Now, I asked this. You have some superpowers you want to share?

Howard Brown:

What's your superpower, your superhero?

Lori Osbourne:

You know, it's funny, my that was one of the

Lori Osbourne:

first things my coach asked me three years ago, and I had no

Lori Osbourne:

idea what the answer was. So I put a lot of thought into it.

Lori Osbourne:

And throughout every job I've ever had, every everything I've

Lori Osbourne:

ever done, what I consider my superpower is taking highly

Lori Osbourne:

technical information or complex information, and breaking it

Lori Osbourne:

down to where anybody can understand it. And that is a

Lori Osbourne:

special thing. Not everybody can do that. And it's you know, it's

Lori Osbourne:

unusual for a female to be in technology in the first place.

Lori Osbourne:

And being that I've done so many different roles, I get it, and I

Lori Osbourne:

get the impact on business. So I love it when I can talk to a

Lori Osbourne:

small business owner and explain things that are just, you know,

Lori Osbourne:

way out of, you know, some people don't want to know, and

Lori Osbourne:

I'm not going to bore them if they don't want to know but

Lori Osbourne:

other people like you know, I've never understood, I don't

Lori Osbourne:

understand this DNS thing. You know, what is that? Or how does

Lori Osbourne:

this domain thing work? And I love being able to see their

Lori Osbourne:

eyes light up and go, Oh my gosh, I never understood that.

Lori Osbourne:

Thank you for explaining it.

Howard Brown:

I mean, you hear all the alphabet soup, SEO and

Howard Brown:

all that sort of stuff search and some people don't but that

Howard Brown:

is a superpower to take the complex and break it into bite

Howard Brown:

sized morsels and understandable be of bits and all that stuff. I

Howard Brown:

really liked that. I speak on finding your happy place. So do

Howard Brown:

have a happy place. What do you do? What's your stress free

Howard Brown:

zone? The

Lori Osbourne:

beach. We live on actually. Well, we actually

Lori Osbourne:

moved here from Colorado. And the mountains are beautiful. I

Lori Osbourne:

love the mountains. But I was born in San Diego. I did not get

Lori Osbourne:

to grow up there. And I've always wanted to be Bywater. And

Lori Osbourne:

we are 15 minutes from the beach. And it is my zen place

Lori Osbourne:

like it like it. It is it's you know the waves, the vastness the

Lori Osbourne:

you know I wish we don't have sunsets on our side of Florida

Lori Osbourne:

we have sunrises so I don't get to see them very often I see the

Lori Osbourne:

sunsets from my backyard. But it's okay. It's still it's just

Lori Osbourne:

that that beach and the waves. It's and I can go there in my

Lori Osbourne:

head. If I can't be there in person I can still, you know,

Lori Osbourne:

it's always been my happy place for sure. Yeah, I

Howard Brown:

tell I tell people find your happy place. Mine's

Howard Brown:

the basketball court. I just, I sweat it out. And it's mentally

Howard Brown:

physically. It's just great because I'm with the guys and

Howard Brown:

we're talking trash or sports and I don't think of anything

Howard Brown:

else. I don't I don't think of being a cancer patient or

Howard Brown:

survivor or anything like that. It's just great for me. And I'm

Howard Brown:

so glad that you have the beach. I tell people I don't care

Howard Brown:

cooking art, music, hiking, athletics, it doesn't matter

Howard Brown:

meditation, find your happy place and go there in your head

Howard Brown:

or go there personally as much as you can. I think that's very

Howard Brown:

very important. Well, I want to do something here because we're

Howard Brown:

getting close to the end here but I'm gonna do something

Howard Brown:

called where's the shining brightly spotlight so I had to

Howard Brown:

put on for those that are listening my metallic white

Howard Brown:

sunglasses, because Laurie you're shining so brightly tell

Howard Brown:

people how they can best get a hold of you. I know you have a

Howard Brown:

free giveaway as well and then finish up with some inspiration,

Howard Brown:

Lori Osbourne:

awesome. So please go to my website,

Lori Osbourne:

website doing what it's supposed to do, and there's an assessment

Lori Osbourne:

at the end, it'll give you some feedback on how you've done. So

Lori Osbourne:

yeah, go out there. And you can schedule a call with me while

Lori Osbourne:

you're there. If you're interested in talking about

Howard Brown:

Now, maybe some inspiration a little. What do you got for me

Howard Brown:

today, Lori?

Lori Osbourne:

I will I will give you my quote from the last

Lori Osbourne:

book and it will make a lot of sense with what we've talked

Lori Osbourne:

about. So find your passion. The most rewarding work you will

Lori Osbourne:

ever do is the work that aligns with your passion. And that is

Lori Osbourne:

speaking from personal experience. And you know, I'm

Lori Osbourne:

going to add you said that your happy place is the basketball

Lori Osbourne:

court because it makes you forget everything. That's how I

Lori Osbourne:

am at my desk. You know, I have chronic headaches. I have

Lori Osbourne:

chronic pain from this tumour, but I can sit here and build a

Lori Osbourne:

website and not even know I have pain. I get up and leave and I

Lori Osbourne:

go oh boy, there's a headache. But I believe it's because I

Lori Osbourne:

love so much what I do. I just tune all that out and just go in

Lori Osbourne:

and I love it.

Howard Brown:

Yeah, I appreciate you sharing that and I love the

Howard Brown:

passion quote people go you know, get this book The Art of

Howard Brown:
