What's Your Bandwidth?

What's Your Bandwidth?

All of us have a sort of physical, mental & emotional “bandwidth” that includes both an upload (aka: consuming) and a download (aka: creating) speed.

Unfortunately, many of us in today’s world of easy online access find ourselves running from connection to connection consuming everything that pops up on our path, leaving no room in our cup for what we are called to do.

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about being mindful of our current bandwidth capacity. This isn’t an either or situation, where we always head in one direction only - but rather about being aware of how full we are in any given moment and pulling back and recalibrating if necessary, so we don’t end up overwhelmed.

As humans, we need both creativity and personal connection in our lives in order to live in balance. There are going to be chunks of time where we’re more in our creative mode and other times we will find ourselves consuming other people’s content or material.

The key is to find a healthy, personal balance that works for you. Sometimes, it’s okay to put our “curiosity” on hold and go inwards to take some time for ourselves.

What is your upload speed and your download speed? Are you creating more than you're consuming? Are you being fire-hosed by everything out there, and it's leaving you unable to find the energy to work on the things that light you up?

What's your bandwidth right now?
