As you tune into each episode, you will receive insight into your own grief, how to eliminate it and what to do next. Before we start by one request, if any new insights or awareness land with you, during this episode, please send me an email at info at the Ian Hawkins coaching.com. And let me know what you found. I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

I just got off the phone from one of my clients having a particularly tough day. And even though we've been working together now for a couple of months, there's still a pattern feeling like they need to do it on their own, that it's not okay to open up that they should be able to work this out. And I'll say the same thing to you guys. As I said to them, it's normal that you have that belief that you've got to do it alone, because that's what's been drummed into you that it's not okay to need support, it's weak. It's all of these different things, but it's necessary. Now if you've come from a sporting background like myself, it's also massively beneficial. Like, I actually, when I play, I love to have quite direct and straight to the point instructions. And if that needed to be done in a way that was like, like, really direct, and this is what I need and like and a bit of a rev up, then all the better. And I responded well to that. And even though ultimately, you want to come up with this ability to be able to be our own best cheerleader, there are times when I need that direct response still in business in life. And that's what I've built into my week. Why would I go away from something that is successful? What would I go away from something that I know works? So if that's where you're at, and you battling away trying to do it on your own? Have a think about how you've got your best results? Is it from going away and spending time on your own in solitude? Or is it having someone there, encouraging you, validating you, supporting you and pushing you forward? Now, granted, there will be times when we need to have that, we need to have that serenity, we need to have that space, and we need to go away and to spend time in our own company, just to get a bit of clarity. But when it's action time, and when you're wanting to change it when you want it to get things done, you're wanting to make progress, you want to improve your performance, and absolutely have that person in your corner, you don't have to do it on your own. build that into your day to day. Now for my one on one clients, it is that sort of service, it's not time's up, I'll see you in two weeks when your next appointment is at the end of one hour. It's not like that at all, we go as long as we need to. And it also, it's, I don't want you to wait two weeks, I want you to let me know, if you're going through something I want you to send me a message on here, give me a call. And I'll be able to come back to you as soon as I can. Because I'd rather have give you whatever it is that you need. So that you can work through that quickly so that you can keep making forward progress. And you're on continually to moving forward in a way that's going to work. Now, that's not how everyone operates. But that's how I like to operate. Because I know how beneficial beneficial that is to me, I know how beneficial that is to the people that I work with. So if you're from that sporting background, or you just know that that works for you as well. You love to have that accountability. You love to have that inbuilt discipline, you love to have someone there to be able to help you get that to a whole other level. And make it part of your day to day. And of course, if you're looking for someone like that, to help you to be able to build that into your own day to day, then reach out to me as well. I'd love to be able to point you in the right direction. If it's not something I can help with. I'll be pretty upfront with that as well. And if it is, then I can tell you how that might work. But whatever you do, if this is something that you know, works, make it part of your life is not weak. It is not bad. It is not a bad thing for you to have that sort of support that level of support in your life. It's actually going to be empowering. It's going to help you move forward and heal To make progress and you live performances that you wish you'd done it years before.
