Dealing With Confusion

Episode Summary

In this episode, Ian explains how you get into a sense of perplexity and uncertainty, wondering if you're pointing in the proper direction. Most individuals place their importance, faith, or attention on things that are far down on the list, or even worse, on items that are not even on the list, and you will discover more of your power and strength. More of that confidence, discipline, and motivation to pursue what you actually desire.

Don’t miss:

  • Ian explains that there is purposeful uncertainty produced around electoral time to ensure that people continue with the status quo.
  • Ian clarifies that uncertainty produces a certain perplexity regarding what precisely is occurring and what action to take, as well as a reluctance to make judgments.
  • That you must have clarity on the appearance of the collection in consideration.
  • To endure grief, one must overcome all that is unresolved and unknown.

I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

You know, there's times where you're driving, where the roads not just Australia clear road where you're a couple of left's and rights and you're there. But instead like it's a winding road and, and sometimes it feels like you've gone round a full circle and you're almost doubling back on yourself, you get into this almost a state of confusion and doubt wondering if you're pointing in the right way. And if somewhere along the line, you might have taken the wrong term of driving recently. And just last week, actually. And then it dawned on me that this is the current energy we're facing is such a confused message out there at the moment, and people are in this place of confusion. Now in Australia, I just recently had an election. And had someone relayed to me that a message from that they'd heard from from their father going back 50 years that he's theory that a deliberate confusion created around election time to have people stick with the status quo, or, or at least what they're familiar with. And it would really make sense given how was in Australia, it's definitely the case, I imagine it's the same in a lot of countries. Everything seems to slow down before the election, there's uncertainty creates a certain confusion, if you will, around, what exactly what's happening and what action to take and maybe being a little bit more circumspect with any making any decisions.

And when this confusion reigns, then it can be really hard to know what direction you're pointing in your life. What you need is a circuit breaker, you need something to get you back on track. Now, if you're in the car, one of those things might be the GPS. Old school people might remember the roadmap and we just knew how to navigate with the roadmap. But I think if we went back and did it now it'd be quite challenging jumping from the end of the map and having to join map whatever it is 46 and having to flick ahead pages, good memories, or not good memories, depending on how well you navigated, but the GPS now allows us to get back on track whether you have a your own device or using your phone or something gives us clarity gives us an element of certainty. And we carry on the how do we find that in our daily life? How do we create our own personal GPS. And how we do that is through clarity, and curiosity. The clarity part is what I highly recommend is that if you're in that place where you're wanting to get back that certainty in your life is having a life priority list. Know what's most important. And you've heard me bang on about this before, know what's most important and also know the order enough of that importance, because this becomes your GPS. When you're faced with decisions, then you're able to defer back to this life priority list. And ask yourself the question is this.

One of the top things on my list isn't even on my list. Because what most people will find is that they are either putting their priority or faith or time in things that are way down the list, or worse things that aren't even on their list. So you have to have that clarity and what that list look like looks list looks like. And the other thing that you need to do is is to find more of that direction have that personal GPS is living in a state of curiosity, not in a state of, well, this is just how it is. And this is how it's always been, and been curious and asking questions and wondering Hmm, I wonder if I looked at this differently, what it'd be like, be open to everything that you thought to be true, maybe not being true. Being open to the possibility that you can change how you behave, that you can make changes, to create a whole new direction, to not navigate this state of confusion the same way you have, which is to fall back into old patterns. But to create that circuit breaker and start living life a different way. To move past the grief to move past all that is unresolved, all that's unknown. So you can start heading the right direction for you. Not what someone else wants for your life. Not what society thinks is where you should be heading, not what the news or advertising thinks you should be doing. As a great song that has a line. When did when did advertisements become like, become like narcotics. And it's like that, right? It's just an addiction to the next shiny object. But be curious about your own journey, your own priorities, what's most important, and then start working towards because that's where you're gonna find more of the gifts and the grief. That's where you're gonna find more of your power more of your strength. More of that courage, discipline and drive to move forward to what it is you truly want. I'll speak to you tomorrow.
