Sculpting the Oak Tree: My Journey from Self-Betrayal to Self-Compassion

Sculpting the Oak Tree: My Journey from Self-Betrayal to Self-Compassion

Today's guest Dr. Madeleine De Little shares about her chapter in the upcoming book, "The Reciprocity of Therapy". In this chapter, Madeleine shares her personal story of how she was confronted with her own shame and subsequent self-forgiveness around her use of alcohol when working with Indigenous survivors of multi-generational trauma and neglect. She also draws on her methodology of Neuroscience and Satir in the Sand Tray to show how play and creativity can be a path toward healing. Join Julie Ann and Madeleine as they chat about this topic in today's episode, from the book "The Reciprocity of Therapy", which will be released on Nov 7th, 2023.
