Finding Peace

Finding Peace

Often we search outside ourselves for catalysts to living a more peaceful joy-filled life not knowing that everything we need is found within. In this episode, we take a look inward as we discuss assurance and it’s role in finding inner peace.

Jani Roberts:

What? Life isn't supposed to suck? Get out of here. Life is supposed to be good for me? I don't think so. Truth? Did you know that you have the power to create your own reality? True? Did you know that you can live the life that you've always desired? Holy? That's right. And that's why we're here. Are you ready, unless you're on Joy overload, you've come to the right place, it's time to get out of your own way and start creating more of what you want, and less of what you don't end up with the excuses. I'm your host Jani Roberts, let's do this.

Jani Roberts:

Welcome back warriors, so excited to be here, always looking forward to connecting with you. I feel as though when I'm in this space, and we are sharing this work, that I have a sense of assurance, that all is well. And that we really are connected to the point of making a collective difference. And I wanted to talk to you today about assurance, and what it means to us, what we can really hang on to. So often when I'm speaking with people, there's so much doubt, and we just recently had a conversation about doubt, as you know, and it's it's really the vibe is shaky, you know, people don't feel generally confident about their environment. And this is really affecting how each of us is functioning individually, independently. And then of course, collectively, right? How we are connecting and working together for what is meant to be for the good for the love. And this is what it's all about. So this assurance that we reach for this knowing is connected to our faith from the perspective of being able to feel assured and feel that confidence prior to being able to see prior to things manifesting before I so I am assured that all as well. Now, I could get a lot of pushback for that statement. What world are you living in? What kind of news channel? Are you watching? Where have you been? Do you live with your head stuck in the sand? Just, you know, those might be some things that I've had said to me in the past. But here's the deal, we're all creating our own reality. So it is all about perspective. And it is about trusting and knowing that things really are working out even when the appearance is the complete opposite of that. So being able to embrace the contrast is a big part of this message. Today, it really is. And if if you haven't been listening to this podcast, welcome, for whatever reason, whatever attracted you to be here with us today, understanding contrast is a big part of this work. And what this is referring to is knowing that we got to know hot to know cold, got to know black to know, white, got to know, wet to know, dry, got to know, anger, to really experience peace, gotta understand love to really understand anything less than love. Yeah, all of that those teachings that come in that, that caused that friction that caused the fear, to want to come in and take over, you know, when we, when we lose it. And we don't feel as though we're in control. This is where we reach for the Trust for the confidence for the assurance to know that we will be okay, we will be okay and that everything really is okay. And sure, you could say well, there are a lot of things that aren't okay, but there are a lot of things that are okay. And we talk a lot about this, but I'm gonna throw it out again. We tend to look at what's not okay, more than what is okay. We give a lot of our attention to what is not working. Why do we do this? It's a piece of insanity, but it is our pattern collectively, as a species. We look at what isn't working. We're drawn more to that. And we tend to almost I don't want to say we blowed off but we kind of pass over a lot of what is working every day. There are magnificent things occurring on a moment to moment basis. and whether or not we can maintain a presence and are now or not is really going to determine whether or not we notice any of that, or are we just in that box of what's not working? Are we stuck there, and we've all been there, and we will probably all be there again, we get stuck. That's part of this process. But we know, we can be assured that there is a bigger plan in place. And we've all experienced it, where we've been completely freaked out.

Unknown:

And then a little time

Jani Roberts:

goes by we're like, wow, I got myself really wound up over nothing. I thought this was the reality of what was happening. And it was not time to check in time to really check in with ourselves. Why did I go there? Why did I assume the worst? Maybe because I was told for years and years of my life that, you know, people are shit, and they do shitty things, and you can't trust them? And no, I mean, we all get messages, right? And so we always go to the I knew it.

Unknown:

I knew it, I knew

Jani Roberts:

it was gonna go bad I knew wasn't going to work out. That's our go to, what if I go to wasn't that? What if it was the other? What if we were in a place of assurance? And we knew, even though this looks like this, I'm going to take a deep breath, I'm going to take that pause, and I'm going to try to find a different perspective about this. What are the possibilities? You know, many of my friends say there are no problems, just

Unknown:

solutions. Most of my island friends,

Jani Roberts:

I think I've mentioned that in previous episodes, and I just love it, there are no problems, there's just solutions, we can figure it out, we can figure it out the state of assured, I am assured

Unknown:

that we will figure it out. It's a firm

Jani Roberts:

confidence to trust, there is freedom from doubt and uncertainty. There is firm persuasion here. The definition of assurance is an affirmation and a commitment, a statement that inspires confidence, firmness of mind, steadiness, courage, self reliance, is all brings in the assurance. So hey, if I'm lacking courage, based on very real things that have happened to me that have caused me to fear certain situations, people places, what have you,

Unknown:

then, hey,

Jani Roberts:

that's going to affect my ability to feel assured that all as well, I'm going to need to do some work around that. If I've never felt stable or steady or safe, I'm going to need to do some work around that, to build that belief. Assurance is defined as a statement given for the purpose of inspiring or believing in yourself. So hey, if I've got some work to do, that's cool. I can do that work. I can free my mind, I control my thoughts, I can do the work. And when I do that, it inspires the confidence inspires the courage. I feel certain I feel capable of my own abilities.

Unknown:

I feel as though I'm moving

Jani Roberts:

forward in a flow, not fighting, pushing my way through to survive. Surviving is I got to really pause on this. Because I don't know about you, but the feeling of just getting by. Have You Ever Have you ever caught yourself saying things like I just gotta get through the next week, I just got to, you know, it's like, I gotta survive my life. I just gotta, you know, I just gotta get through this next event. And then once I get through that event, then I can move on. And I have some time off. And I don't know about you, but like that time off never came. What I really had to do was back it out and not get through anything. But be present in what it is that I'm doing. I mean, I just get through my kid's birthday this weekend. Do you really want to get through your kid's birthday? Or do you want to really be excited about it? I can't wait. It's been a lot to make it happen. But I can't wait to be completely present in this moment. With my kid for their birthday. This is going to be the best. And I'm going to bask in it. I'm not just going to survive it or get through it. I mean, it's a choice. We got to decide, you got to be bold. I'm not just going to survive my life. I am going to experience it. I'm going to be present for it. And I don't get to see feel taste touch a contract in advance for a certain amount of joy to be experienced at a certain amount of in a certain amount of time or at a certain time, there's no guarantee the guarantee is made. When we choose to be present, it does it just doesn't work the other way. Well, you know, when, when the universe provides this for me, then I'll then I'll get busy. You know, when God shows up and does what, what is supposed to be done, so I can clearly see it in advance, then I'll move until then I'm just gonna binge me, you know, some Netflix? Well, it's a choice. But if you're not present, not really present, you're not going to see it anyway, you're not going to see what's in front of you anyway, I can have a conversation with almost anyone. And, you know, stir up, you know, what's going on in your life know, like, really what's going on, I'm not just asking you how you're doing, I really want to know how you're doing what's going on. And nine out of 10 times, people will start to tell me what's not working in their life.

Unknown:

Very rarely do people lead with what is working, I find this fascinating.

Jani Roberts:

And they are blown away by the fact that they're getting more and more of what they don't want. But the first thing they want to share, the first thing they want to talk about is what's not working. So they don't say to me, I got two great kids, they're doing well in school, you know, one of them's hit some bumps, but we're making our way through it. And it's been such an amazing opportunity to connect with them and really help them to understand that I'm there for them. And, you know, I've got a I've got a job that's, that's I'm learning from and I know there's more for me, but it's, it's taking me in a direction that I can feel is where I need to go. It never starts out like that, or, you know, oh my gosh, we just had the most amazing vacation or we just, we didn't have money to go on vacation. So we got really creative, and it was the most fun vacation that we ever had. We didn't even leave our house. It's more like, well, I'm still in that job. I can't stand it. It's making me crazy. My kids are making me crazy. My husband and my spouse, my lover and my partner, whoever is making me crazy. My boss is making me crazy, you know, it goes right into that. And that's where the attention is. And that's okay, I'm not even judging that truly I am not. Because I've definitely done it on more than one occasion. I'm just observing it. And this is what I'm asking you to do. Just observe this, what's coming out of your mouth? What story are you telling? Because that is the experience that you're going to have. That's why this this work that we do through this course is so key because we want to experience more of what we want and less of what we don't not the other way around. And most of us are experiencing it the other way around. Time to make a change. And we wonder why everybody's pissed. Well, not everyone is we see that everyone has passed when that's what we give our attention to. It's why it for me, it's it's challenging to watch the news, because I'm like, where's the good news channel? That's what this is? Did you see that full moon? Is it not fascinating every time you see it? When's the last time you sat and watched a sunrise? Oh, this sounds too woowoo. I don't know what to tell you. Because this is the real stuff. The other stuff is bullshit. It's going to come in, it's going to go, this is the constant. When I can get up in the morning, I can hear the birds and I can have my cup of tea. It doesn't mean that I'm not sitting there going, how the fuck am I going to pay all these bills, manage everything I have to manage, take care of everyone I feel I need to take care of make myself a number one priority. I'm not saying that stuff's not going on in my world. But it's not the biggest thing that's going on in my world. And it's not as nearly as big as what is working. In my world. I'm waking up, I'm choosing to see this give this my time and attention. Look at what is working. It's majestic. It leaves me speechless. Every day, there's so much more working that is not do not buy into that. Does that mean we just sit by the wayside and don't use our voice? Absolutely not. All the more reason we have more energy to use our voice because we're not sucked down the rabbit hole of the illusion that nothing is working. It's an illusion. It absolutely is. There is way more working for you in this moment in your life than you realize. So if you are at a rock bottom, been there done that

Unknown:

multiple times kind of lost track. It's okay. It's okay.

Jani Roberts:

It's gonna take some time, one step at a time. You've done it before you can do it again. And there are way more people like you than not that will support you in an unlimited amount of ways to help you to fulfill the work that you came here to do that you might not even be aware of these people are waiting there everywhere you can attract them into your experience. You've done it before you can do it again, this absolutely can and will happen. And as you feel the truth of this resonate with you, you will feel a sense of calm,

Unknown:

calm confidence,

Jani Roberts:

about your ability without even knowing the details about what you have to do in this moment. You may not necessarily know okay, what's the first step? What do I do? Breathe, pause and acknowledge a dozen things that are working, keep it simple, that are working in your world, it's so easy to come up with that. The sunrises, the sunsets, I can take a calm, deep breath, there are amazing people willing to help me. I can ask for help.

Unknown:

The Universe does love me, unconditionally,

Jani Roberts:

completely as I am, in this moment, I don't need to fix or change anything about myself. I am doing the best I can, with what I have. I am doing the best I can, can I do better. You don't need to do better. You just need to do what feels right to you. What you've done has been enough. It doesn't need to be better. You don't have to judge yourself for what you have done or have not done. That's that's called hell. And more than likely you've spent enough time their time to have some heaven in your life here on earth, as it was intended. Be assured

Unknown:

that this is your destiny,

Jani Roberts:

you can ask for guidance, you can ask for forgiveness, you can celebrate your life in a way that you never have for the amazing life that it truly is. This is so important. Because I know what it feels like to begin to believe or to feel yourself falling into a belief system. That your life is just a complete waste of time that you haven't done anything that you thought you would do with your life. You've made all the wrong choices.

Unknown:

I know what that feels like.

Jani Roberts:

I'm here to tell you. It's simply not true. It's just fear and warrior. Be assured that the universe does have your back. Allow that to become a truth, a belief for you and feel that calm confidence fall upon you. I mean, just allow it to embrace you. Give in to what's working in your life. Allow what is working to grow. Give it your attention. plant those seeds of possibility. And when you've been beaten down a million times, it's tough. I get it but what's the choice wallow in it. Hang out with people that will wallow in it with you, or ask for help. And be assured that everything you need will come to you and that you are worthy of it. No doubt. Be assured. This is your truth. Until next time, I will be assured with you knowing that you are giving your attention to everything that is working in your life your life rocks. Until next time guys much love always nothing but love. Talk to you soon. Peace
