Theresa Lambert:

Hello, hello and welcome back to another fabulous episode off dissecting success. I am your co host Theresa Lambert and I am here with the one and only Blair Kaplan Venables. This is episode 121 Y'all 121. And we've been here every single week for the past two and a half years, which is even crazy for me to say. And we are having a big announcement that we're going to make today, which is also crazy for me to say. But Hello, it's been a really very, very incredible journey. I have to say the last two and a half years, I've learned so much about success what it is, but it isn't what people say it is what people say it isn't how we all live out our success and all the different ways. And it's been so beautiful to have all these conversations. And, you know, our lives have changed so much since we started this podcast. Holy shit. Like I feel like we've lived lifetimes, since everyone has been on the journey with us the last two and a half years. And if you listen to our last episode, that Blair and I recorded around, just sort of like a wrap up where we're at, at the end of Q one of 2023, you know that we both have some big troubles coming up, we both have a lot going on in different ways. Whether we've decided to live in different beautiful places of the world, or traveling across the globe, to places like Ghana, and Croatia. So cool and speaking on stages and all the fun things. And life's kind of gotten a little bit full fast. And so after long consideration, and really thinking about what would feel good for us as we're heading into cue for q3 and q4. Like as we're heading into summer q2. q3 and q4. Still getting things wrong. Because I'm hashtag human. We've actually decided that we're going to wrap season one. It's been like a hell of a lot of season of dissecting success, a two and a half year season of dissecting success with incredible guests. And we are going to take a little bit of a break on We bless.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Oh, yes, you know, it's funny, because you and I are now like, We've weathered the storms. And this has been a very long season, you know, like Brene Brown or Oprah or like, a lot. Both people with podcasts have seasons. And they're not usually 121 episodes or two and a half years long, but we just kept going because we love this and the conversations have just been so amazing. And like Teresa said, like it's been a long season, but there's been a lot of storms been a lot of big, messy storms, you know, right when we decide we're going to do this, like, I had like a miscarriage and my father in law died and my mom died, my dad died and all these things, but we kept showing up and I'm not going to speak for what was going on in Teresa's life but like you know, also building a business and trying to like keep my head above water. I was found like this coming to this podcast was like coming home and showing up and something I still love doing. I love talking, you know, I came into the world blaring and I have a gift the gift of the gab. But Theresa and I right now we're really Looking at, like, how is this podcasts going to look in the future. And we're both looking at our schedules and how we want to spend our time because we're entrepreneurs, we don't want to work 24/7. You know, we want to have, you know, time freedom. And maybe that looks like Season Two starting in the fall and only 12 episodes, or it looks different. Or maybe you know, it's a completely different format, or it's just one of us, we don't know, we don't know what we're going to do. We don't know when we're going to come back. But we're going to take a break. So we can step away, reflect and see how we want to move forward. And like Theresa said, like, I'm going to she's going to be traveling, I'm going to be traveling. And you know, since starting this podcast, we each started our own other podcasts. So the global Resilience Project has a podcast called Radical resilience, and you can still catch me over there. And my sister Alanna joins me there to co host sometimes and we share stories of resilience. And I'm in this place of pivot where yes, I'm still doing publicity, marketing, you know, coaching, but I'm taking on a bigger role in the world of resilience and resilience, thought leadership. So this is a natural step for me. And for tea right now. And, you know, it's been one hell of a ride, you literally have come gone on our life journey with us. And, you know, if you're just discovering this podcast, go back, you have tons of content, you can dive into tons of content.

Theresa Lambert:

Totally, there's so so so, so, so many episodes. You know, the other day I was watching, when we recorded the first two episodes, a memory came up on Facebook, and she and I shared it and it was us recording the introduction. And you kept saying, The Theresa Lambert. And I was like, No, it's not the I know, laughing because my hand was Theresa Lambert coaching, but a lot of people read it as the Rissa th,

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Its THE.

Theresa Lambert:

I know he even said it just that way. So anyways, we had a lot of like, really good times. And yeah, like a lot happened for you. And wow, like, you know, when we started recording this podcast at the end of 2020, and then launched it at the beginning of 2021. Like, man like in terms of my business like I you on my journey to scaling my business to my first six figure year. I've gotten divorced and dismantled. 16 years of my life, I packed up all of my things, and literally have been a nomad entrepreneur, which is something that I always wanted to do, but didn't do. And I've done a lot of things, again, that I've been wanting to do for a lot of long time, and I've done a lot of new things. And for this podcast, I've been able to share that and my journey has evolved how I'm building my business has evolved, how I see success has evolved. And we talked about that a few episodes ago. So I agree with you. Bleh you know, one cool thing about this podcast the last couple of years has been that you have not only seen us grow and get shift faced multiple times, but go through some significant life changes and challenges and navigate them all while continuing to growing our business all while continuing to show up consistently for this podcast. And here we are 121 episodes and you know what I was so proud of for both of us is that we didn't decide to take a break when things were hot. We didn't decide to take a break when we're going through the shitstorm we decided to say hey, you know what, it would feel really good right now to take a break because between us both traveling and being on different time zones and prioritizing different things in our lives right now schedules a little bit tricky to line up and it's been getting like it's been like a juggling act to get together and record and to find the times and to do all that and we still manage that but I feel like we're wrapping up season one on a really really high note with 121 epic episodes and two and a half years of content to dive into that will really uplift you and support you and and humble you to at the same time and and I celebrate us for that you know because one showing up consistently for this length of time a lot of people can't do it. I mean remember that that that most podcasts finish after Episode Seven I'm like what? And same here if you want to hear more of me if you want to like continue to follow my journey. I have my own podcast it's going to be coming up actually on its one year anniversary soon as well. Diaries of a six figure coach I launched that podcast last year and I share a lot of really cool stuff around what it's like to build a six figure business to maintain a six figure business drop a ton of gold as I do over on the podcast so you know make sure you follow me over there while we take Taking a bit of a break and collecting and figuring out what this is going to look like for season two.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

You know, maybe like as we wrap up, I just want to thank everyone for listening. Some of you have been listening since the beginning, some of you come in and out some of you type certain things into the search in podcasts, and you've discovered us. This is amazing. You know, Theresa and I are links are in the show notes, it's very easy to find me just google me and I'm everywhere. And we still have a lot of cool stuff going on, I'm still gonna be documenting my life, you're just not gonna be able to hear it right now on this podcast. And so I just want to acknowledge you for spending time with us. You know, dissecting success, we've had so many brilliant conversations in season one. And I think, Theresa, I don't know, why don't we both end the episode by sharing what success means to us now. So, Theresa, yeah. What does success mean to you?

Theresa Lambert:

Success means to me, to be able to be at complete peace, and joy, and fulfillment and in a state of abundance, even when externally, I don't have anything to hang on to that success to me to be on this journey and to be feeling peaceful and light and abundant and joyful. Regardless of the money in my bank account, my marriage status, my relationship status, where I live, how many things I own, I'm completely detached from results or the shitshow of life, and that sometimes evolves, but to be able to remain in that in that state of peace and to really embody that through and through and to love myself unconditionally through that and, and to be in that state.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Brilliant. That's so beautiful. That's That's

Theresa Lambert:

what does success mean to you, Blair?

Blair Kaplan Venables:

yeah, means freedom. It's the freedom to do what I want, when I want how I want the freedom to spend money to make money. Basically, the freedom to make choices to have adventures to stay put to say, no. It's the permission that I give myself to be free. So freedom to me right now, is success and success is freedom. And I don't know if my answer would be the same if my parents were alive. But I went through some pretty crazy stuff. And watching my father in law, mum and dad all die in their 60s, just really reminded me about how short our life is. I don't want to be like tied to what we think society wants us to do. I want to have the freedom to make those choices and do what I want, when I want how I want.

Theresa Lambert:

I love that. Yeah, I would choose. And freedom is so important. And you know, I think this is another like, I think this is a really beautiful time to say that we are choosing and we get to choose freely when we wrap up a season of our podcasts, whether that's after 20 episodes, or whether it's oh seven, or 121. In our case, we have the freedom to say hey, we're gonna wrap up to this episode, and we're gonna see what happens and we do it in peace. So you know, one thing that's really beautiful is that we're doing it from a state of peace and abundance. And yeah, free from a place of really making this as a very free choice. Rather than, like, we have to take a break or we have to we don't have to do anything. But we have the freedom to choose it. So I love that our definitions of success actually beautifully tie in to saying, hey, let's take a little break and see what happens.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

I love that Theresa, and it's been such a pleasure like doing this with you my business bestie and, you know, I think this podcast definitely brought us closer together. You know, velocity and momentum was born out of this podcast. Our goal this podcast was to dissect success. There was no other ties to it. It was a passion project that led to business that lead to community that really deepened our friendship. And you know, I want to say a big shout out to Michelle Abraham and amplify you and how do I know is that it? amble if you Yeah, I can't say that. And also our you know, the people who've helped produce our episodes over the, you know, person the first season, last two and a half years. We've had a lot of great people working behind the scenes and I just want I acknowledge that and you know that that picture you see on the cover art of me and Teresa, dissecting success looking through the magnifying glass, that just like really embodies who we are as people and you've watched us grow. And hopefully we've helped you grow and our guests have inspired you to think about what success is and up level. And we look forward to being in touch and showing you what's next for us. So, without further ado, thank you, everyone. Thank you, Terry.

Theresa Lambert:

You've LEDs been such a joy and I know our friendship is continued. You're gonna continue to grow and prosper and who knows what season two will bring?

Blair Kaplan Venables:

All right, so let's do one final season one piece.

Theresa Lambert:
