I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

I just sat down to record this one. The family cat system to my lab to excuse the background noise and Ellen Perry, when she decides to share this one with you. I like to keep it real and raw. Like I said, life's not meant to be a struggle. So I could have sorry, in the title there. I could have chosen to crack the sheets with her being here or just embrace it and go with the flow. So if lost, I'm going to be a struggle and how do we make sure it's not? Well, when you install and adopt daily disciplines. things fall into place pretty quickly. Way back when your ancestors safety and survival dependent on daily disciplines. Finding and preparing food, caring for their shelter during their safety problem in these days, we've been lulled into a false sense of security, right? Because you can get your food delivered. Or you can pretty easily access it elsewhere. You have your shelter maintained some of you do yourself but others of you will get other people to come and do the maintenance. And you no longer have to fear the wild animals that can destroy your food, your shelter, and let's be honest your life. But unfortunately, the food you eat is rushed. More often than not. Remember my episode the other week about presents so good at salacious, too often rushing our food and not being mindful that eating our shoulders become like a trophy. Like Have a think about it. How many things have you added to your house that they really need but just nice to have and they present really well. Nothing wrong with that mind you. And protecting your safety has become a desperate attempt to distract yourself by suppressing What are running the endless negative voice in your head. But reintroducing simple daily disciplines will change all that disciplines that allow you to find the courage to accept what has been and take full responsibility for your future. to quiet your mind to find the hunger for more in your life, to have a clear and structured focus. To take the action you know you need to to unlock your best future. And your better life awaits. On the other side of your daily disciplines.

Stop learning this from Jim Rohn way back when he talked about that freedom is the daily disciplines practice sorry, disciplines practiced daily. And it's true. And there have been times in my life even over my growth journey where I've gone away from those that need him anymore. And then slowly, just a little bit at a time. Go away from what's worked. You don't notice that you're slipping? Because it happens so gradually. And suddenly you end up in a place and you're like how on earth did I get here? How did I get here again? That's because you lost your daily disciplines. You stopped doing what you know you need to do. Now, sometimes there are unconscious patterns that are holding you back there and we've talked about that a lot on here, right? Sometimes it just takes you making a commitment to yourself and getting it done. Quit with the bullshit excuses. Make a commitment to yourself and do what needs to be done. Get yourself out of bed. Stick to your routine, and get on with it on a really basic one on the sleep, you know, when you snooze, and you go back to sleep because you think it's gonna make you feel better. It's actually the worst thing you can do. You start a new sleep cycle, and your body goes into that next cycle, and then it gets broken. And you do that if you snoozing your bed you'll do that numerous times. The real answer is ski surf. The better way to really answer is spend less time scrolling on your phone. The real answer is spend less time numbing yourself and distracting yourself from what's most important. There you'll find your daily disciplines and there you will be able to completely transform your life for the better. I hope you enjoyed this episode of The Grief Code podcast.
