I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

Hey Everyone. So I was at a cafe a couple of weeks ago. And I was working but also just conscious of the sound of me something about the sound of a crowd that that gets me energised, to do my work. But I was really drawn to a conversation. I mean, behind me, there's a couple there that were passionately discussing discussing some world events. And what struck me was the passion and energy that they put into this conversation for probably 45 minutes. And they were talking about one of the one of many world challenges in the moment, the gun control debate in the US. And they, like I said, spent 45 minutes dissecting it, and then coming up with solutions. And they were just so passionate. And it made me think, like, I've got no idea what's going on their life. So they could be completely happy and all good. But I just wondered if if that 45 minutes at the cafe, they'd used that energy on something for their life that was going to be positive, that was going to be beneficial for them going forward. What difference would have made in their life. Because we don't have unlimited energy, we have a fine, our willpower, our energy, our strength, it's a finite resource. So it's really important that we focus on what's more important. Otherwise, we're just going to be using all that vital energy for something that's just not important part of our life. Now, I did 20 plus plus years in the media. Guess the fact that I'm on this platform says that I'm still in the media. And so what I learned from that experience, having sat there with a TV on my desk, with TVs all around the office, was how much we were influenced by what was on that box. What was on that TV. And whenever there was a big world event, like all the TVs tuned to it. Now, I'm going to be honest, like for many years, I was just as guilty as anyone elses engaging all of that, getting caught in all of it. And I started to change because I started learning about shifting focus. And one of my early mentors was talking about, well, where are you focusing your energy, and I was watching a lot of news, and I was watching a lot of crime shows and I was watching a lot of stuff that was leaving me feeling worse, but I didn't want to feel worse, I wanted to feel better. And so I started to turn off my TV while I was at work. I'd still put it on for some of the sporting events. But that's one of the perks of working in a place like Fox Sports. But whatever those other world events was on us like I'm putting my headphones on, and I'm going to tune into something positive because I can't engage in that. I don't want to use my vital energy on something that I can't control. And that's that leaves me feeling so much worse. I've also learned from from 11 years of my own growth, but also now six, seven years of my own business working on human behaviour. And what makes a difference is that it's a trap. It's such a trap, to engage in all of these worldwide issues at such a deep level when we're using it as an avoidance tactic, a avoidance tactic for what we need to focus on for ourselves and what's most important for ourselves. And it's we're giving up our power. We give up our power every time we focus on something that's not for our highest

and now I'm someone who has spent a lot of my life having Given my power, just rolling over accepting outcomes that I could have controlled that I could have stood up for myself. And now as an adult, and as a parent, and as a husband, I don't want to do that anymore, I want to be able to have that control, step back into my power, and focus on what's most important. So that if I can share anything today, it's to have that focus, focus on what it is that you want. Find and develop success strategies that work for you. Switch off from things that don't serve you switch off from things that leave you feeling horrible, that distract you from what you should be focusing on. Because when you do, then your energy becomes infectious. You create a level of attraction where people are drawn to you, who are similar energy. So if you feel like you're attracting all that drama, well, what's your focus? Are you still focusing on drama, if you're attracting people who are on the same page that remind you something, like you've known them all your life. And it's from a good perspective, probably because it's reminding you of yourself and the energy that's within you. And probably one of the most important things I learned and I used to cringe listening to it. And the early days of being a caterer is the cringe sharing this. But having a mentor is such a key part of it. Because it accelerates the progress there, you can do all this on your own, and you'll get there. But what a mentor or a coach, or a guide, or someone in your corner does is it accelerates your path. And it saves you time. And time is another one of those resources that you have. That's finite, you're not here forever. So that's why I've nearly invested $100,000 In my own growth. And that's paid itself back from a financial perspective, because it's what it's given me in terms of opportunities and other different parts of my life. But way more importantly than that, it's what it's given me in terms of how I feel about myself, my relationships with the most important people in my life, and what the level of fulfilment that I now have, from going and doing things that fill me up, that are distractions that have been better tied to what it is I want for my life. And so having that focus, having someone there in my corner, who can redirect me who can give me more strategies, to help me move through these things quicker. Because I don't want to muck around anymore. I spent the first 38 years of my life mucking around. And now what focus are what drive or the discipline to get the things done that I want to get done. And that's from stepping into my power. So if you're at that point where you know that you need more of this in your life, you need to step in your power. question yourself, where are you putting your focus? How can you shift that focus to what's more important? You'll see changes happening around you immediately. Now, I mentioned in some of the earlier videos in this series, that I'll be launching some new workshops and new programmes and new training and a new group programme that I'm launching, which I'll be sharing more information about in the coming days. I'm really excited about it, because it's I'm going on a bit of a journey myself in the last few years. And I enter times I drifted away from what was the message that I really wanted to be putting across. And I've always gone back to a lot of the foundational personal growth stuff that I learned, but through a completely different lens, because I've learned so much in the last six years. So now it's taking that knowledge and turning it into things that I would have needed myself when I started my journey six years ago, and then sharing that with all of you. Things like mental and physical strength, getting more of that drive and discipline to do the things that need to be done. The emotional intelligence to be able to self regulate, to stay in that calm to have that peace of mind so that you're not distracted by all the noise chat, having the courage to stand up for what's most important and that self responsibility, create a real deep sense of unity in all my relationships. And to help you all do the same.

To release more of that, meaning to control people and situations and step into myself control and and not being controlled by others when I want to have a clear focus on what's most important for me to be able to build that level of protection where I don't have to be aggressive to be protective, but I can focus on what's most important. That's the energy I'm putting it out on energy I'm putting out and a sense of presence for the most important people in my world so that they feel safe and protected to be the provider To know success, principles, principles and have the discipline to stick to them and make things happen to have that sense of fulfilment, to release more of that anger and frustration, to take that anger and, and to be able to regulate it, and then turn it into fuel that really drives you. And to do what I've talked about today into that stepping back into your power, to own that power, and to have a clear focus on what's coming. So if these are sort of things you're looking for at the moment, then let me know I'm going to have, I'm going to be launching this programme at a special price for the launch, I'm going to have limited opportunities at that price. And so if that's something that you might be interested in now, whether you definitely are interested in then reach out, let me know the below, send me a direct message. And I'll let you know where we're at with that and what keeps going. I'll be sharing more messages about this for the rest of this week. So if you're someone that likes to get more, more clarity on exactly what that looks like, well, I'll be sharing more clarity. And I look forward to doing that for the rest of this week. Have an awesome day. And I'll speak to you all very soon. I hope you enjoyed this episode of The Grief Code podcast. Thank you so much for listening.
