Before we start by one request, if any new insights or awareness land with you during this episode, please send me an email at info at the Ian Hawkins coaching.com. And let me know what you found. I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

I reckon with every single client I've had, there's been a moment in time that has then continued to impact them, and has them stuck in a certain position. And that moment in time, that incident or that situation, but then often related to what's keeping them stuck. For some, they know the situation and they do know what's keeping them stuck. But there's usually another situation that they're not sure about, that matches up to the timeline better. And the second event that they are aware of is more a product of the first event, then when I say event, I'm not talking about something that's going to be really scary. It's something you already know. So for example, a client at the moment, talking about the breakup of their parents marriage after 50 years, and some of the frustrations around how that went down. And then talking about some of the different challenges that are over the last few years and and just asking, I was just asking them questions about different things. And they're like, oh, yeah, no, I don't think that's really had an impact. I mean, you know, it's like, frustration, I don't like this, this and this, but that hasn't impacted other areas. And, and I'm like, Well, that may be true. But the timeline matches up perfectly. From that moment, things started to go downhill. Now when things go downhill, you don't notice them straightaway. It's like when you start working out going to the gym running, you don't notice after one workout. But you'll notice over time. When you put on weight you don't notice after a day, or a month or two months. But at some point down the track, you go home, you look in the mirror in your head, how do I get here, and I've been there.

So if you're in that point where you seem to be on downhill or you've gone backwards, and you wonder how I get back to that place. Look at the timeline, what event happened, that you think you've dealt with, but it actually matches up with the decline. And not the decline that you're really hyper aware of. That's been the end of the decline. The moment of looking in the mirror or the moment of are suddenly in a not in a good place. Now it's the slow steps that have taken you to this place, the slow drops when things started to give, not as good as they used to be. And work your way back. Because the timeline always shows you always shows you. Now like I said, some people are acutely aware they are yeah, I've got no doubt that this health issue came up the week after this event happened. breakup of relationship, someone getting a diagnosis, there can be any number of things. Someone recently they someone that they had a really great connection with changed, or go through all these different changes. And now the person that they used to connect with and have this amazing ability just to laugh and joke about the past is no longer there. Again, thought I dealt with it, no big deal. They seem to be happy enough. I'm happy for them. But again, the timeline matched up with the decline in health with a decline in how they were feeling mentally emotionally. So you can start identifying yourself when looking back across your timeline and start looking about looking at where things may be starting to go downhill. Match it up And then do some journaling around that event. What might still be stuck? What can I do myself? What might I need help with, and then take action. Because then you can start identifying the unresolved and the unknown. Because remember, it's unknown. You don't know it's there, you don't always know it's there. You might not even associate it with grief. But not only will you be able, identify, be able to release it, shift it and make peace with it. And as always, if you need any help, reach out, ask questions. I'm always happy to respond with questions with answers, as far as I can. And then of course, if you're wanting to explore any more than that, and see what it looks like to be guided through that process, to speed up your growth and speed up the making peace with your past pop, and of course, reach out there as well.
