All The Power You Need To Achieve Your Goal

All The Power You Need To Achieve Your Goal

In this episode, Ian explains that what you're experiencing right now is a sign that you want to strive towards a goal, and if you wonder why you lack the self-discipline and motivation to make that happen, he will give you insights on how to develop all the power you need to make your objective a reality.

Don’t miss:

  • Ian explains why it is vital to achieve your current objective, if you are contemplating it now.
  • Ian expounded on the justifications, which were therefore not only written down but also stored on my phone, where I reviewed them daily on my commute to work.
  • Ian clarifies that your emotional connection to the objective is strong. And it is power that we require. Moreover, we must have a crystal-clear understanding of this objective, not simply a general notion of what we may desire to achieve.

I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

I just finished a group session with my clients in the freedom programme. And the same conversation come up a few times. And from my experience when a few people are experiencing this then 100 people are experiencing. So might be something that you're going through at the moment you're wanting to work towards a goal. And there are certain things that are getting in the way. And you're wondering why you can't have the self discipline the drive to make that happen. And so I want to share with you all the power that you need to actually bring your goal into a reality. And the first thing is, you need to know why it's so important to you. And if that was not strong enough, then the chances of you achieving that goal significantly diminished. And if you can't come up with a why that's powerful enough, then quite possibly, that's not the goal for the right goal for you. One of my early online mentors, Les Brown, he used to say your y must be more powerful than your fear. So if you look at your goal at the moment you wanting to achieve why is it important? And the goal and a few people were talking about on the on the group coaching call was all around the health. Some of it was around weight. Some of it was around different injuries, others was some other areas of their health. And we talked about well, why is it important? Now for me, my wife, the reason I'm able to be disciplined with my eating and with the other areas of my well being is because I know my why my dad passed away young, relatively young, young four are where I want to get to you 64 I want to live well beyond that. I'm going to live well beyond that. So that's a big why. And I want to make sure that I have all of the abilities to do that. Having a child was another massive why for me, I want to be the best I can physically for my children. I wanted to play golf at the time, I wasn't doing a lot of sport. But I wanted to get back to sport, I wanted to be able to play a lot of the things that I didn't, that I'd stop playing because of all these different injuries that I'd been told that I wouldn't be able to play anymore. I wanted to have a body that was calm and peaceful and strong. So all of these reasons why I had not just written down, but I had them on my phone where I would read them every day on the way to work. And it's amazing what shows up when you know why and and that's so ingrained that you're prepared to walk away from different things that you really enjoy, but you know, won't help take you to where you really want to go. Why is purpose right? It's our emotional connection to the goal. And it's the power that we need. But also more than that, we need to be really clear on what that goal is not just having some vague idea of what we might want to achieve. We need to know what it is and the what is the vision. So you need to have your vision clear for your goal. Now all of those can be in place your why and your what your purpose and your vision. But unless you know how. Then you're stuck right?

But we can't start with the hell you might have heard of Simon Sinek talking about this, we have to start with why and he's right. How is our mission? How is the finer details of how we get to the goal, and I want to share with you something else that's really important when we're looking at achieving a goal. And that is to be able to break a habit and create new habits. And one of the house is to release whatever the unconscious block is, that's keeping you stuck, that has the brake on feels like you can't move forward, or you do and then you take two steps back to release the block. And some of you may have done that, and you're like, Well, why can I change the habit, it's because then you need to be able to then keep going long enough to move past the old habit. So both of things, these things need to be in place, you can't just clear the block and then expect it to happen. You can't just try and change the habit without clearing the the unconscious block. So both of these things need to be in place. And when that happens, the How will show up. Actually, the hell will probably show up before that once you get the wine that one but then it's acting on that. Having the diet, the drive the discipline will come when you know the why, you know intimately. It's so ingrained because you're reading it over and over again. The what will become clearer than the How will just appear as you take each step and you'll have amazing things come into your awareness if like magic that feels like magic. And sometimes you might think there is a little bit of that at play, then I believe that there is it's also because the part of the brain that that loves to find answers to the questions that you ask it will go looking for the answers and the clearer you can get on why it's important what it is and how to get there. Or not even the how part the why and the what when the more of the How will show up because your brain will look for the solutions and it will find them. For me, it showed up strongly when my wife was pregnant and seen pregnant women everywhere. I don't see them anymore. Where did they go? Well, they're there. But it's not the my focus the car, I want to get next the car to drive now. We'll see them everywhere. Because it's my focus. There are more important things in life than just those two things, right? Well, maybe not the pregnant wife, because children are pretty important, but definitely the car. To have the goal, by all means in whichever area you like, even material possessions because I believe they bring enjoyment to the life if we live in an abundant life. But there's more important things about who we are, how we feel. What we want to do add these elements to your goal. And you will have all the power that you need. There will still be times where we need to be patient, where you need to realise that everything's not unfolding for you immediately. If you have these things in place, you'd be able to move towards it. And you'll be able to make it a part of your life. And that's when life gets really excited. Exciting because you see the results. You see things unfolding. You feel the momentum, you start getting more of that drive more of that purposeful action forward. More of that courage, more of that strength. Great place to be.
