Guided Meditation for Body Awareness and Soul-Centeredness #2 | EP 057

Guided Meditation for Body Awareness and Soul-Centeredness #2 | EP 057

Dr. Judith shared in May that she would do a longer guided meditative episode, and true to her word, here it is. She takes the seeker through a guided insightful practice that deepens reflection, awareness of what she calls “felt sensations*” in the body, inner nurturance helpful to the soul sensitivities, and gaining a sense of inner calmness. Enjoy. Be well.

Speaker:

Hi, I'm back. And I'm back to do a special meditation that I've been promising seekers that I would be doing. And I was excited to go through the meditative reflective type of awareness of yourself. Because one of the things that we know about seekers is that we were looking for something higher, something that is greater than ourselves. We're looking to how to embody that higher newness and that vibrational qualities that is soothing, and harmonious, not only just to our physical body, but also to our soul. And it's in the quietness, and this still times are of reflection time meditative time, prayer time, that we have the opportunity to feel the spaces. And not just to feel the spaces at the fill the spaces in the quietness, and it's in the core physical body, as well. So what we're going to be going through in this particular meditation that I'll be taking you through, and I'll try to do some of it going along the way as well. But my focus is giving you the experience of getting into more a reflective meditative type of space, that allows you to feel soothing, and harmonious, because that is one of the qualities of the soul. The soul needs harmony, it wants harmony, and wants you to have inner peace. Because where there is inner peace, then there space and opportunity for your soul to be able to shine and give you pearls of wisdom and a greater sense of connectedness to something greater than yourself. To take a minute, sitting in a chair or couch or somewhere that's comfortable for you find that special space that you can be in there where you won't be disturbed. That you will kind of feel that you can settle into that chair or the couch that you're on. Just settle into it. Allow your body to feel that chair, feel underneath you feel that supporting your back as you're breathing in, and you're breathing out, just getting more settled more centered. Like those long, deep breaths. Breathing in, breathing out. Long, deep breaths. As you're settling more into the chair, or the couch or wherever you find yourself. It feels like it's supporting you just releasing any tension of the day. Just releasing any thoughts that are kind of flooding around in the mind will begin with the awareness of a great big sun above your head. Like on a summer day, it's bright in its beams of the sun is shining down in your crown of your head. And you feel that warm sun beam on the crown of your head and moving down the head as you're breathing in and you're breathing out long, deep breaths. And this wonderful sensation of the Sun beings it's like lava in this the color of like a Yellow ish whitish lava that's traveling down your head very slowly, taking any tension, any stress from the crown from the face, the neck, back of the head is just moving down. As you're breathing in, breathing out in this lava, this one is covering your face, covering your head, stalling, moving, taking any tension, any stress, taking the tightness of the jaw, or the squinting of the eyes as your eyes are closed. Just taking that energy dissolving it consuming it. This like lava takes everything in its wake. Wherever it's traveling, it takes it so it's taking that tension. You feel this nice, warm, yellow, white ish lava traveling down the neck and the shoulders. Taken by tension the shoulder started in these as you're breathing in, and your breathing out is a release in the tension that never cumulated from the day on forum and night's sleep. Leaving that tension taking the lava is going down the other side of the arms and the arms and sound traveling down. Traveling slowly down the back as he's traveling down the arms and the torso, the front the sides. Just be aware of the sensation. Just be aware of his test taking the tensions that may be really overt or subtle. Moving down the body. Breathing in, breathing out. You feel this warm sensation going down the the wrists in the hands and down going down the arms. The four arms, the hands, moving down the torso, the chest, the back is moving, moving, moving. traveling down the torso

Speaker:

as you're breathing in, you're breathing out becoming more relaxed. It's traveling down the hips back in front, the bottom the sitting on the chair. This nice warm lava that's yellow white in color is traveling down the thighs as you're breathing in, and you're breathing out you feel I delightfulness so they're released and taken place and settled areas that you didn't even know about. That was tense as is still moving down the thighs moving down the legs the lower legs taking its time Breathing in breathing out you can feel the sensations in the ankles. The lava is moving down to the tips of the toes

Speaker:

take a few minutes allowing the body to experience this liquid lava traveling down the body warming and moving the body into a more centeredness just take a few seconds and just sit in a wonderful sensei Share of warmth and in the wonderful sensation of as you're breathing in and your breathing out, being more relaxed

Speaker:

is this if you're in a cocoon of light of lava that's penetrating, moving into your skin, just allowing you to relax and reduce and release any tension take a form a few more minutes or seconds, just to revel in this wonderful sensation breathing deep breaths

Speaker:

feeling the body making adjustments, observing on top of your head to the tips of your toes, just scanning the body noticing and being grateful for the releasing of the tension in the various parts of your body, being curious looking and smiling as you're breathing in your breathing out

Speaker:

you may notice it as you're breathing in and you're breathing out, you want to yawn allow it to happen. allow the body to bring these that's another way of releasing accumulated tension in the body.

Speaker:

Your breathing is just like the ties of an ocean coming in and going out. Come in as you're breathing in that long deep breath flowing out

Speaker:

I tried to force it just allow yourself to take deeper and deeper breaths are ever level that breath is at it's all good

Speaker:

noticing any sensations of tingling, this, just smiling at it and being grateful for the releasing of the tension that the body is going through. The body has an innate intelligence. It knows what it needs to do to help us to support us is given the space and the opportunity to do so and knows how to help us when we give it the space and the quietness to do so.

Speaker:

Having this llama this yellow, white might just permeating the cells and atoms of Your Beings coming in soaking it in, relaxing, soothing the body

Speaker:

now another breath breathing in, deep breath. Breathing out, I want you to scan the body. And notice anything that comes to your attention scanning the body, noticing that there may be some tension in the jaw. Or there may be some tension in the stomach, or the chest. Just be aware

Speaker:

and we're error there is that tension in the jaw or in the shoulders or in the lower back or in the stomach or in the chest. I want you to be curious. Lava is clear the way for you to see something and feel something which we will call felt sensations. And you're not wanting to do anything with the sensations, you just want to observe them. And you want to see what sensation is drawing your attention. It may be the stomach, it may be the your buttocks that you're sitting, I may be here your shoulders. See where your attention is moving to. And wherever that is within the body. And the legs. The torso, the head still be in this yellow, white, white. Still warming you. But you're now looking deep away and be curious about what's this tension that I'm experiencing. Maybe it's very strong, or very light, maybe dull, or maybe have a little bit sharpness to it. But you want to observe that tension. Whatever it is in the body. As you're observing you are not trying to speak your language. I know what this means. I know that I had done blah blah, blah and that's why I'm feeling this way. No, that's not what you need to do here. You're actually trying to learn the language. I'm that sensation. It speaks a different language than the language you speak. So if you speak German, then you need to learn English if you speak English, that you may need to learn Italian you're there to observe the sensation describe the sensation and in the description of that sensation. You ask yourself the question

Speaker:

if I were to describe this sensation How would I describe it? Is it Paul sighs Is it a baseball or a larger bowl? How would I describe this sensation that I'm experiencing? Is it fluttery? Is it hard? Is it when I touch it? Saw with my mind's eye so you want to describe sensation as you're breathing in, and you're breathing out, and you're shining a spotlight on the sensation to be able to see it and describe it, but not interpret it, you do not need to interpret. You speak German, this sensation speaks English. So whatever language you speak, is in a different language. And all you're trying to do is observe it. And knowing that the body has an innate intelligence, and when given the space, the time, the opportunity, it could help us. It can help us. So as you're breathing in, and breathing out, see if you can describe in terms of sensation, is it hard or soft? In terms of size? Is it big? Or is it really small like a P?

Speaker:

Major brewery? And also, does it have a color this particular felt sensation in terms of size, or how you want to describe that in terms of texture, a type of texture is it in terms of color, what color would I give to it? observing it, being curious, as you're breathing in, and breathing out

Speaker:

every time the mind wants to wander away, just gently bring it back to the sensation observe it and see in your observation of sensation. If it changes into something different, gets smaller, I guess larger, gets softer from being hard. All you're doing is describing what you notice taken place. Can you walk around this sensation, see the backside of this sensation not just the front. As you're breathing in, and you're breathing out

Speaker:

you may notice that I've seen these in more tension releasing through a yawn or through the years cracking or clearing. Stomach gurgling just be don't need to do anything. The body knows what it needs to do. You're giving it the space you're giving it the opportunity to do so.

Speaker:

Smile at the sensation be grateful that is showing itself to you. And that the innate intelligence of your body is working with it. Knowing what it needs to do. And with that sensation or whatever state it hasn't gone away. is still there. If it's gone away, the grandpa say thank you. If it's still there. It's just changed a little bit, but it's still there. Then bookmark it like your bookmark a cookbook. I say Happy back. Put them late intelligence and the body may continue to unravel it Solve and unwind itself. So that when you do come back, you realize, oops, not there any longer, or something else is there for me to pay attention to all. But if you bookmark it, and you say you're coming back, and then please come back, of course the body wants to trust that you will come back, and your soul wants you to come back. Because by goal going through this meditative practice, that we just did this reflection and this awareness that you're going through, it helps to unburden the soul allows your soul to feel lighter, or for the present, less scared, and uncertain and more that centeredness and are balanced or feeling connected to something greater than itself. So as you have bookmarked that sensation, or you've also said, I am grateful for that sensation that has dissolved or resolved itself, you want to bow to that sensation that was there, that is still there. Whatever state it may be, you're bowing to it, because you're saying thank you for revealing yourself to me. I am grateful

Speaker:

just sitting in the awareness of gratitude. Express experiencing the gratitude and the honor of taking time out to spend with yourself and yourself.

Speaker:

Take another deep breath. Breathing in and breathing out. From the tips of your toes, scan your body and move it up. Looking and being grateful and saying thank you to all the parts of your body moving up from the legs to the torso, the arms moving up back up the torso, the front, the shoulders, being thankful to the head to the crown of your head being thing and then looking up to that that wonderful sun that was above your head is now back above your head and say thank you for your warm thank you for your presence. Thank you for the opportunity experiencing this warm this liquid lava. This releasing of the tension from the body. Here Oh universe. I am grateful as you're looking up to this bright sun here. Oh, universe. I am grateful. Here, oh universe. I am grateful. Take another breath in and a breath out. And when you're ready, open your eyes. And then when you open your eyes, then notice the shifts in little subtle changes that have changed in your body. And also be grateful. Bye for now.
