If you're looking for more clarity in your life, clarity of purpose or how to activate that purpose, and you are someone who wants to operate from your highest self to be a force for good, you know this world craves, then this is the show for you. I'm Anita Adams, your host and guide to finding clarity and creating a life you love. Let's tap into our inner wisdom, access our highest self and unleash joy. As we do this, we raise our vibration and heightened the collective consciousness. And that my friend, is the joyful journey. Let's dive in.
Anita Adams:Hey, joyful journey Anita Adams here your host and today I want to share with you a fun game that has the power to transform your life. Do you want to experience more joy? If so this game is perfect for you and it's easy and fun to do. The game is called Joy spotting, and the only rule is to notice and record the things that happened during the day that bring you joy. Your objective is to record as many joyful moments as possible. To play this game, you need to start at Joy Journal and at the end of each day. Take a few moments to reflect back on the day to remember the little moments that brought you joy. Take your time with this. Play back the day in your memory and pick out the moments no matter how small that put a smile on your face are warmed your heart. Before you go to sleep I read what you wrote. If you are experiencing any anxiety in your life, this game will play an important role in reducing that anxiety and will move you into a more relaxed state of mind before going to sleep. I also recommend reviewing your list of joys the next morning upon waking. This creates a positive energy flow before you even place your feet on the floor and get you primed to discover more joy in the new day. Your joy spotting journal can be written in story form or point form. Simply jot down the things you saw the things that happened what people said or did that put a smile on your face. If someone told you a joke, write out the joke. If there was a particular scene in the day that felt good, describe the scene. relive it in as many details as possible, or just jot down the moments in point form. Here's an example of a little scene recorded in my joy spotting journal. See if you can visualize this moment in your mind's eye. As I was walking down my usual trail to pebbly beach, ducking under a partially fallen cedar and around some ferns, talking out loud to God in the universe, as I often do on these nature walks, and green and silvery hummingbird appeared in front of me. It hovered for a moment, turning from side to side to catch me with both eyes, I suppose. And then shot straight up into the air, and then dove back down, hovering again just three feet in front of my face. It's little wings thrumming the air, then it shot up again high into the canopy of leaves only the drop back down in front of me a second later than it darted to the left to the right, to the left again, up into the trees back in front of me one final time. And then he was gone. I stood in awe for a moment of this tiny creature and felt as if it was a greeting from the Divine saying hello my friend. Here I am. I love revisiting this moment in time, and I'm glad I captured it in my joy spotting journal. Most of my entries, however, are more like a shopping list of joyful moments. I'll give you an example just to get you started in thinking about those tiny moments in your day. This was taken from an entry a few weeks ago.
Anita Adams:Things that brought me joy today. A steamy latte on the deck in the morning sun, an unexpected kiss for my husband and mother dear and her two baby fawns on the path. The friendly conversation with the cashier at the store, Teddy Tracy's dog, who ran up to greet me with a smile on his face. The children laughing in the middle, the birds singing in the bushes, the butterflies on the butterfly bush, the name of this bush even makes me smile. The feeling of the cream as I massaged it onto my body, the sound of the waves lapping on the rocks in the pink sky at the end of the day. These are all simple little moments, moments that could easily go unnoticed if I didn't pay attention. That's what this game is about. It's about becoming more conscious, more aware of where the joy is, so that you can welcome that joy into your life. The more conscious you become about these moments of joy, you raise your vibration and begin to attract and create even more joy in your life. This is an example of law of attraction. And what better thing to attract into your life than joy. Play this game for at least a week. And let me know how things begin to shift for you. I promise you the more you do this, the more joyful you will begin to feel and you'll recognize how important the little things are in life. These little things most often don't have a price tag attached to them either. Joy spotting will also shift your focus from any anxiety or stress you may be experiencing. And the more you play this game, the more you reduce your stress and anxiety. So go put a pen and a pad of paper or journal next to your bed right now as a reminder to start keeping your joy spotting journal. I'd love to hear from you about your experience playing this game. It will create more joy in your life. So try it for at least a week and let me know what you think. Is it a game you want to tell others about? Imagine how your life could change if you played this game every day. Imagine a world if everyone played this game. Email me your stories, thoughts or questions to a Nita at joyful inspired living.com I truly love to hear from you. Thanks for tuning in joyful journeyer we'll catch you next time.
