About the Host:

When we are inspired by our own thoughts, we feel a true sense of joy, creativity, and the energy of infinite potential or possibilities that are available to us. Then someone needs a snack and the thoughts have gone. I am here to say YOU matter. My name is Carrie Lecuyer, I am an empowerment coach for moms with a feeling that there is more on their hearts and I want to help you reconnect and re-align with your soul's purpose and passion and remain a great MOM.

As a mom of two little boys who love mud, I have visions, goals, ideas, and thoughts. Sometimes they only lasted for seconds, and the rest of the day I spend cleaning up after my kids.

Over the past 20 years, I spent 15 years in a fast-paced career development and personal development environment. I have completed 26 half marathons, crossed the finish line at Ironman Canada, and became a mom. It has been the most amazing journey with so many lessons. I know for a fact that the moment I made a decision, clarity in all directions appeared.

I am here to help you connect with what lights you up, through 1:1 coaching.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Hello, my friends and welcome. You're listening to soul inspired decisions, a podcast for ordinary moms living extraordinary lives. My intention with this podcast is to teach, motivate and inspire by sharing stories, tools and strategies to help you unlock your greatest fears, annoying habits and old stories and make a move towards the things that have been on your heart. If you have been a little lost, or in a funk, and want to reconnect with your purpose, your passion and feel empowered again, then this is the best place for you to be hanging out. My name is Carrie linkway. And I'm an ordinary mom making extraordinary decisions. This is me putting one foot in front of the other, moving towards my next goal, and hoping to inspire you along the way. Let's get started.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Welcome back to soul inspired decisions. And thank you so much for being here today with me, this podcast episode is dedicated to all the women that moms out there who right now are trying to figure out what their purposes, there's this one thing that they want to do that they're trying to do that they feel like you take two steps forward and 10 steps back. And there's always things to be doing. And there's something that lights you up, you're you know, it's there, and you can feel it and you want to allow yourself to be doing it. But then you've got your family and to make more money and to feel really good. And let me tell you, you're not alone.

Carrie Lecuyer:

The women this whole year, who I've been working with are all women who want more feel that there's more who desire more who have this passion inside of them that's just like this little flicker of a flame that they're trying to put air on to make a full on fire because you feel it in you know it.You want to know what your purposes you want. You basically want someone to tell you what your purpose is, because it would just be easier, right? Because doing the work to figuring out your purpose is really hard. We think, but here's the thing doesn't have to be hard. Your purpose is creating and doing, what fulfills you with what's happening in your life. Right now.

Carrie Lecuyer:

It's kind of the opposite what we've been kind of taught all our lives. I mean, you go through school, and you got to try to figure out what you're going to do for the rest of your life. What purposes what, how you going to make money, how Who are you going to become when you die? Who do you want to be known as or for all the things all the big questions, get the one thing that matters, is the moment that somebody places the baby in your hand and it's yours. And every thought every creation in your mind suddenly goes blank and nothing matters. And you live your life serving and trying to keep healthy and safe. Your family and days go by and you're submerged in motherhood and all the things that motherhood brings, and keeping a household and an impossibly work if you were working as well. And you're still trying to find there's there's this purpose, there's this yearning for something that makes you feel alive and creative and, and that there's more. And there is and it's a long journey to get there. But I promise it's all worth it. And it is tough. My work is with people. And if I would have known 20 years ago, that it is natural and it is It is Easy what I have changed anything.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Not a chance because all those experiences got me to this point now to know that I love working with people I love serving I love helping them feel inspired and motivated and worthy and that they have validation in their thoughts and their feelings that they create can create more and feel worthy of making money and having a family and doing all the things of love. Validating people's feelings of that they are worthy of being the best version of themselves and doing the things that make them feel good. You're already possibly living your purpose right now in this moment because your purpose is doing the things that make you feel really good. And we often think it's gain Doing something or becoming something, but it's looking at we have right now, what feels good, what feels natural, it feels easy. Because that's where we grow and learn. It's not always easy on the journey once you identify it, because there's still obstacles. There's still Gremlins, there's still life, there's things to figure out, always that never stops. And once you figure out something in one area, you know, you're leveling up in life, and you're figuring it all out. And something else comes up, there's always crap to figure out.

Carrie Lecuyer:

But once you know, and you've created the vision of what you love, and what you want to do more of, it becomes easy to wake up. So let me ask you, right now, if you're, if you are someone who's trying to figure out your purpose, trying to figure out what your next step is, and what feels right, in a day that you love doing. Do you love yoga? Do you love meditating? Do you love reading? Do you love working out? Do you love talking with people? Do you like working with numbers like actually take note of what you really love and thrive on because maybe you've never even looked at an area in your life that maybe should be your purpose is right now to be where you are today. Because it shifts and it changes as you shift and change in your family ships and change. It's natural, easy to grow and learn when it feels good. So take a look around you what feels natural and good to easy right now. Maybe there's someone you've talked to in the last two months that sparked an idea of something that you've wanted to do to try. And that's a sign that maybe you should dabble in it. Because if it's easy and you love it, you'll do more of it naturally. Do whatever you can to take that next step forward. Yes, take the one step forward, the two steps forward. And you may feel like you're taking 10 steps back. But that's life. That's your kids getting sick that's taking care of business or bills or family or the things that come up the circumstances that we cannot change. Everything feels like it's coming perfect until it's not. And then we lose our flow and life happens. That's everyone's story. Your vessel different from mine. I mean, I felt last year was so different from this year. And then I get in this mindset of maybe this isn't what I'm supposed to be doing. Maybe I should just stop. I don't. But it's never left my heart. So I know that's not true. I just know that. That's a mindset. We have to ship that and it takes time and it takes talking to ourselves and hanging out with ourselves and asking yourself asking yourself, do you do like yourself right now? Can you hang out with yourself?

Carrie Lecuyer:

Maybe that's a way to start figuring out if you're living your purpose in this moment right now, because maybe your purpose is just to figure out who you are, and your next step on that journey to becoming the best version of you. And then your purpose may just automatically be handed to you. Because you can have an honest conversation with who you are and what you actually love. When you look at yourself in the mirror in your eyes, not you know criticizing your wrinkles or the freckles or whatever you have going on that you think are your imperfections. But if you look into your eyes and ask yourself to say hello to yourself, that will tell you a lot I promise about where you are right now. Because if you can't do that, that's actually where you need to start and your purpose is ahead of you. But where you need to start right now is ground zero of just being honest with yourself and worthy of the person you are and that you're really great Mom You're really great person you're really great human being with so much potential so much.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Thought and all this is hilarious by grandmas calling me as I'm doing this podcast. I've had all my kids fast for chips so I had to stop the podcast recording once the dog came in, push the door up and now my girl was crying so this is cool. This is real life. Doing the things from home trying to follow my own purpose in talking to women because we show up when we need to you Even if it doesn't look perfect, right? So, back to where I was. I have seen, I've worked with and seen women this year, leveling up, finding what feels good to them, trying new things, looking at the synchronicities, the signs that are there that have always been there, they just haven't looked at, that's what I'm good at. I'm good at helping people figure out what their passions are and what they love. And I have always loved doing this. I've love helping people feel inspired and motivated to go after new things, try different things, because I do it myself all the time.

Carrie Lecuyer:

If you're a person who sits at home with excuses, I'm probably not going to hang out with you. Because that's, that's not where I want to be. That's not where I want to go. Because we are. And we tend to do the things and be around the people that help us move forward. And I love being around people who want to move forward who want the next level who want to figure out what's next for themselves. If that's just losing two pounds, the giver, if that's just reading a book, on parenting on how you can be a better mom in a certain area, then do that. That's where you're supposed to be at this point in life. If you're looking to start a business, that's amazing. Give it a try. What do you got to lose? Because right now, if you're waking up feeling like there's nothing for you, you're not motivated, you're not feeling great, maybe it's a bit of depression, but maybe you're just not doing the thing that you love? And how do you know? Just ask yourself? Do you ever feel like you're taking two steps forward? And 10 steps back? In what areas of your life? Do you have great ideas, have you taken a step forward into them?

Carrie Lecuyer:

Have you had this inspired action, and everything's going well, and then you lose your flow, that's life. If you are working in a bakery, and making beautiful desserts, or bands, or whatever it may be, and you're serving the public, and you thrive on their smile, and the compliments and the way they put the flavor into words back to you. And that lights you up, then you are living your purpose. And that is amazing. And that looks very different to my purpose. When someone feels inspired to take a step forward, and to try something they've never done, that inspires me. And that's how I know I'm living my purpose, helping women to grow and to push beyond their beliefs, their limiting beliefs, create new ones. Look at all sorts of areas of life that are they've never looked at before that they've wanted to but they've been stuck.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Why What if you make a move? What if you try what if you step on your own stage, and that could be putting your first dessert in the oven, that could be selling your first makeup product that could be doing your very first massage, that could be starting a whole new job. Only you know what that is for you. I quit a bank job 25 years ago, my family not my husband because my husband's you know, he just lets me fly by the seat of my pants. I follow my heart and he is just always let me do what I need to do. But it was said Why would you let go of a job that's Monday to Friday benefits, bankers hours. Why would you let that go for nonprofit? it never even never even crossed my mind because I knew it wasn't where I was supposed to be because I woke up not happy. By the end of three years. I was not happy waking up going to this job that at one time served its purpose. And I knew that and I was very grateful. But three years into it I just knew wasn't for me. This wasn't where I was supposed to be. And granted there are some people that have stayed in their jobs for years and they love it and that's they they live for and they thrive

Carrie Lecuyer:

I have on it and there's growth for them. That was not my area that was to come. But I needed to take that leap of faith for myself knowing that there was more for me. I just had to give it a shot and be patient trusting that it would come. And it did. And I would never in a million years change the way it happened that somebody said to be, would you do anything different? And I wouldn't, because that whole journey has got me here today, knowing that I do love and, and just thrive on standing in front of people and talking to people and helping women and and men just live their best lives, figure out who they want to be and how they want to show up and ask themselves the tough questions and help them to communicate and talk with their family to be able to go on the journey that they need to to serve their own heart to fulfill their own inner purpose with their heart, just know that they're meant to do.So what's the right? Next for you? Like? What's the right next right move for you, because it's going to be very different than mine. I signed up for Ironman. I switched different jobs. But they had nothing to do with anybody else. It was just to find timing. That's how you know. And once you decide you're all in, things will just start happening for you. And all of a sudden, you'll be off to the races and wondering how you got there and wondering how you could ever possibly have the time to do all this, but you're doing it. It's called gross. Yeah, it's called growth. And it's exciting. Allow yourself to create a vision. Allow yourself to daydream, allow yourself to focus on the things that you love each day. And it's just for a second while you're feeding your baby. Or if you're walking or if you're in a daydream while you're driving and some inspired action or inspired thoughts come to your mind, they're there because you're creating those. That's how things happen. We allow ourselves to visualize in something that is more than is greater that starts the process of manifestation and creating.

Carrie Lecuyer:

So think of something you've wanted to create or wanted to do for years or months, or it's just come to you in conversation of talking to another woman, or hearing something on the news, it's television, or the whatever it may be, if there is something, if there's a product line, you would love to dive into, because someone else loves it, and you love it to give it a shot. If you love it, you'll feel it, and you will just naturally grow. We're here for a very short time. And our kids are only here with us for 18. So years, then they want to live their own life. So who are you, why not have a little piece of you while you're still in mom, because you can multitask. Women are very good at multitasking. You have all the time in the world to be a mom, because your mom forever. But you also have all the time in the world to be who you want to be. And that starts by showing up and creating visions in your mind of what you want to do. In a split second you can create and how do I know this because we've all gotten it. And the easiest way to get you to reflect on this is think of a time when you created something so maybe a new job came up maybe a new opportunity of making money came up on the side or maybe your husband came into your life or a new friend, you create that you created those thoughts. And you had the greatest feelings. Those feelings are which creates our visions of more of the future have more of what we want. And then we create it we get it we have it and then her and our mind takes over and life takes over. But in the split second we can create that happiness this that the possibilities. Your thoughts are magnetic. What you think about what is what you get right

Carrie Lecuyer:

We think positive, we get more positive, we think negative, we get more negative. Just look at the people around you, it's easy to identify this story. Your vision is only what you can imagine. Imagine what's possible. If you want to start that business. If you want to start that project, if you want to go down a whole new venture, think give it a shot, just start visioning in your mind. Allow yourself to be open to new opportunities. That's the greatest way to start. I am open to receiving new opportunities. That sounds exciting. And understand why that's important to you. If you need help, if you need help, creating your vision, feeling that you're worthy, if you want to join me on a journey of figuring out who the heck you are at this point in life, Damn me, I'd love to chat with you. And figure out your why. And identify the sort of person you want to be. Understand your values. Create a new vision for yourself. Maybe you felt a little lost. Maybe you felt a little lonely, maybe you're looking for a new adventure. Really good at helping people expand their visions. Super exciting, super exciting. So I am here for you. I believe in you. I believe in your thoughts, I believe in your visions, and I'm here for you to just be you. Take care.
