Tyler Evans:

this is Tyler Evans.

Saylor Cooper:

But episode 37 on PadaPalooza, it's my fifth

Saylor Cooper:

podapalooza. It's a beautiful day. We're having a great time.

Saylor Cooper:

So we have On today's episode we have Susan Crews, she is an

Saylor Cooper:

entrepreneur. And she helps successful business women in

Saylor Cooper:

knowing that they can bust the exhaustion cycle and create a

Saylor Cooper:

life, they love filled with success and joy because that's

Saylor Cooper:

what we want to do live a life in bliss. So the audience,

Saylor Cooper:

successful businesswoman. So, her bio, despite appearing to

Saylor Cooper:

have it all together, Susan Cruise was a hot mess. He was

Saylor Cooper:

tired all the time, which led to the creation of her energy boost

Saylor Cooper:

blueprint. She is a sought after wellness speaker, the host of a

Saylor Cooper:

radiant soul sisters podcast, founder of the radiant soul

Saylor Cooper:

sisters community, a yoga teacher, and a trusted ce o so

Saylor Cooper:

she's gonna tell us more about her journey on a couple of our

Saylor Cooper:

site. Welcome, Susan. Glad to have you here. So

Susan Crews:

oh my goodness, Saylor. Thank you. Thank you

Susan Crews:

guys both for having me here today. I am excited to meet you

Susan Crews:

all and I am a padaPalooza newbie. So I feel really

Susan Crews:

honoured to start my first episode talking with someone

Susan Crews:

who's been here for a while.

Saylor Cooper:

Awesome. Yes. Yeah. Here's your brand new and

Saylor Cooper:

what do you think of it so far?

Susan Crews:

Oh, my gosh, padaPalooza is awesome. I have

Susan Crews:

taken several pages of great notes. But I've also met other

Susan Crews:

great podcasters host and guest awesome. Yeah.

Saylor Cooper:

Yeah, wonder Yeah, cuz here's my third one.

Saylor Cooper:

First time I came was in June, I was General attendee. I was

Saylor Cooper:

blown away. And since then, I've come so far. So tell us you

Saylor Cooper:

thought your life was all together? When it wasn't? What

Saylor Cooper:

Yeah, what gave you a wake up call?

Susan Crews:

Oh, my gosh. So the real wake up call. And I get

Susan Crews:

goosebumps when you asked me that question. Saylor, the real

Susan Crews:

wake up call was when it was Thanksgiving week, and I was

Susan Crews:

preparing for Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving meal. My husband

Susan Crews:

and I have a large family, we have four children married with

Susan Crews:

children. And anyway, so I always set my table early. And

Susan Crews:

the only thing under any bed in my house is the leaf to my

Susan Crews:

dining room table. And so I went to get that out from under the

Susan Crews:

bed. And when I got horizontal Saylor fell, sound asleep, sound

Susan Crews:

asleep in a matter of minutes. And I knew then that I had to

Susan Crews:

make a change, I had to figure something out. Because you know

Susan Crews:

what, I, I study human design, I use human design as a tool in my

Susan Crews:

coaching programmes and working with women and I was trying to

Susan Crews:

live as a manifesting generator in that go, go go, go, go go go

Susan Crews:

go go world, right. And I am not created to work like that. And

Susan Crews:

to be like that. So that was really when I realised that I

Susan Crews:

wasn't living who I was created to be. I also was raised by two

Susan Crews:

type A workaholics. And I was raised to believe that the more

Susan Crews:

you worked, the more money you would make, which is true.

Saylor Cooper:

And so in certain instances, and you bring up a

Saylor Cooper:

good point, because I just got finished writing a book. I'm

Saylor Cooper:

gonna publish it, hopefully next month about all this, about

Saylor Cooper:

stress and what you can do, and also money can't buy happiness,

Saylor Cooper:

you have to balance.

Susan Crews:

Absolutely, you have to balance it out. And you

Susan Crews:

know, many of us can work very differently than being in that

Susan Crews:

go, go go go go mentality, but have the same outcome where you

Susan Crews:

can work with your body type or work with how you're created to

Susan Crews:

be and money flows with ease and grace. Right? It doesn't have to

Susan Crews:

be press press press harder to the point of exhaustion.

Susan Crews:

Exactly. Exactly.

Saylor Cooper:

And I'm trying to figure this out now, and I've

Saylor Cooper:

enjoyed this journey. I've met so many great entrepreneurs and

Saylor Cooper:

People you can, you can live like blissful, even though they

Saylor Cooper:

have to work. It's all possible. And I'm sure you saw my bio. I

Saylor Cooper:

just got really heavy into this. And I'm so excited for what's to

Saylor Cooper:

come.

Susan Crews:

Exactly. And you know, the thing is, I love to

Susan Crews:

work. I absolutely love to work. I've had five different

Susan Crews:

businesses. While we've raised four children. There was one

Susan Crews:

summer we had four businesses, we had seven softball and

Susan Crews:

baseball teams between the whole family we have a really funny

Susan Crews:

story there. I used to keep a colour coded calendar on the

Susan Crews:

back of our door. And my husband, I trained him to learn

Susan Crews:

to look at the calendar. And if my colour and the Children's

Susan Crews:

colours overlapped, he knew he had to pull in or whatever. And

Susan Crews:

so this was one night, we had had a really busy day, I had

Susan Crews:

gotten my two children where they were supposed to be, or

Susan Crews:

three children where they were supposed to be. He was

Susan Crews:

responsible for the youngest. So he goes to his softball game, we

Susan Crews:

live in a small town, he goes to his softball game, my husband is

Susan Crews:

getting ready to step up to the plate and bat, right. And one of

Susan Crews:

our friends likenesses while we're there, Susan and the

Susan Crews:

children tonight, and he says, Oh my gosh, the youngest is at

Susan Crews:

home by himself, he was four, well, you could totally left the

Susan Crews:

child at home. And this is another example early in a way

Susan Crews:

back when when we both were in that work mode mentality that we

Susan Crews:

had to totally live by colours on a calendar, right. And we

Susan Crews:

were losing sight of what matters most. So I can go back

Susan Crews:

through our life our time together and see these parallels

Susan Crews:

where you need to remember what matters most and how you do

Susan Crews:

things. Right. Yeah, family always matters most of the

Susan Crews:

money. I also, you know, it's really funny, because I told

Susan Crews:

you, I love to work. But I had to figure out how to work with

Susan Crews:

my body so that I wasn't exhausted all the time. So that

Susan Crews:

I do get eight hours of sleep at night because that's what I

Susan Crews:

need, right? Or I do take an afternoon off and go hiking. And

Susan Crews:

it totally clears my mind. And I may end up working while I'm on

Susan Crews:

the hike, right? I might write a whole blog or a whole something

Susan Crews:

in my head while I'm out there in nature. But the beautiful

Susan Crews:

thing about it is releasing your exhaustion cycle, figuring out

Susan Crews:

what makes you work, what makes you tick, how to work with how

Susan Crews:

you were created, then you're able to create the money of your

Susan Crews:

dreams. And the money is what makes a lot of magic happen.

Susan Crews:

Because I believe the more money I make, the more good I can do

Susan Crews:

in the world. Right?

Tyler Evans:

Amen.

Saylor Cooper:

Amen. Just figure out how to have that balance and

Saylor Cooper:

do it in a positive way.

Susan Crews:

Exactly.

Saylor Cooper:

I see. No wonder why on Thanksgiving night. You

Saylor Cooper:

just all of a sudden fell asleep. And that's what woke you

Saylor Cooper:

up because you were not getting a hours of sleep during that

Saylor Cooper:

time before I assume.

Susan Crews:

Well, actually it was it was three days before

Susan Crews:

Thanksgiving. So we hadn't even gotten to the Thanksgiving meal

Susan Crews:

yet sailor. Right. I was working. I was preparing a meal.

Susan Crews:

I was planning a festive event, right? Because Thanksgiving is a

Susan Crews:

cool day to me. So you know, I've even gotten to that point

Susan Crews:

yet. But there I was so tired that can you imagine just

Susan Crews:

hitting the floor? And oh, yeah, and essentially just going down

Susan Crews:

to sleep. You know? So yeah, so one of the things that I learned

Susan Crews:

first, when I really started my transformation is I learned how

Susan Crews:

to be still.

Saylor Cooper:

Be still Yeah, and that's what and that's what

Saylor Cooper:

we're doing now as well. I've learned that and I have some

Saylor Cooper:

events, I'll tell you about when we when we get to the end but so

Saylor Cooper:

now you're so what you have this is now your yoga instructor you

Saylor Cooper:

you teach others to do the same, right?

Susan Crews:

Right I am. So what I do is I work with with these

Susan Crews:

clients that are really in overwhelm. And I have several

Susan Crews:

different modalities that we use. We use yoga as a way to

Susan Crews:

connect the mind the body and the soul, right? We learn we

Susan Crews:

talk about meditation we learn about implementing stillness

Susan Crews:

into the daily life. We also talk about foods what what kinds

Susan Crews:

of foods that really can support your body and help you We've

Susan Crews:

been creating the energy that you need. And we'll see

Susan Crews:

meditation, yoga. And then one of my favourite things. And if

Susan Crews:

you you don't have an interview this afternoon I'm going to be

Susan Crews:

talking about it is breath work. I love the power of your breath.

Susan Crews:

Because you know what, within each one of us, we know what we

Susan Crews:

need and what we're supposed to be doing. We know the next best

Susan Crews:

step, when you can be still calm the monkey mind. A lot of people

Susan Crews:

say when you're still you don't think about anything that never

Susan Crews:

happens. You always have a thought come through your head,

Susan Crews:

right. But what you can say is okay, I'll deal with that later.

Susan Crews:

Right now. Be still they still.

Tyler Evans:

Amen.

Saylor Cooper:

Amen.

Susan Crews:

Yeah. And that helps you also be a better

Susan Crews:

communicator, because you're able to be still and listen,

Susan Crews:

when the other person is talking.

Saylor Cooper:

Exactly. And now, have you worked? I mean,

Saylor Cooper:

clearly, you were raised by parents who are high, strung. I

Saylor Cooper:

mean, I don't know, you're determined. But have you? Have

Saylor Cooper:

you tried to work with high strung people who are going

Saylor Cooper:

through the stuff that, but they're in denial, they don't

Saylor Cooper:

want to accept that something's wrong? Because in other words,

Saylor Cooper:

they think something is okay. When you know, it's not have

Saylor Cooper:

you? Have you experienced that?

Susan Crews:

Well, typically, yes, because I am, I am working

Susan Crews:

with these women who typically are six or seven figure earners

Susan Crews:

as an entrepreneur, or they're in that C suite. And they have

Susan Crews:

had something happen as a wake up call. It could be the

Susan Crews:

illness, or it could be aches and pains in the body. Or it

Susan Crews:

could be just that feeling of overwhelm. You know, like, I

Susan Crews:

look, someone, I don't do it anymore. I used to look at your

Susan Crews:

calendar on Sunday night and go, Holy cow. I've got all this

Susan Crews:

stuff on the calendar. I don't even have time to read 10 pages

Susan Crews:

in a book, or to go outside and go for a walk by myself. Right.

Susan Crews:

And they realise that they got to make a change, because

Susan Crews:

there's more to life, then the Go Go mentality.

Tyler Evans:

Yeah,

Saylor Cooper:

exactly. And that's what I'm trying to do

Saylor Cooper:

right now, as I said, and so, yeah, Susan, you're just doing

Saylor Cooper:

great work. And you're just thank you. Wonderful. It's

Saylor Cooper:

wonderful. And so what are your future goals?

Saylor Cooper:

Ah, my future goals really are just to continue to impact

Saylor Cooper:

women, and to help women understand that we can have it

Saylor Cooper:

all. But we don't have to do it in the masculine way, that the

Saylor Cooper:

divine we can find a beautiful balance between the divine

Saylor Cooper:

feminine and the masculine.

Tyler Evans:

Yeah, Amen.

Susan Crews:

It's not talking about man and woman it's just

Susan Crews:

talking about there are there are divine feminine things that

Susan Crews:

happen in life in their masculine things that happen in

Susan Crews:

life. And when you blend the two, and have the balance, then

Susan Crews:

you get to have it all. And we can be successful business women

Susan Crews:

and great wives and great daughters and great moms, we can

Susan Crews:

do it. But the way to do it when we can also honour our own

Susan Crews:

bodies, is the key. And so I continue to impact and inspire

Susan Crews:

women through my one to one programme, my group programmes

Susan Crews:

that summer, virtual summer live, as well as through

Susan Crews:

podcasting and just really talking with amazing people who

Susan Crews:

are doing the same thing like you sailor.

Saylor Cooper:

And in fact, I just put something in the chat.

Saylor Cooper:

My future goals we have we have something big happening, right.

Saylor Cooper:

Tyler the next in the next month. I'm including this as

Saylor Cooper:

part of a free gift, but I put it in the chat now so you can

Saylor Cooper:

have it. We have the first lift your spirit party on May 5 When

Saylor Cooper:

we're all gonna come together on Zoom In just talk hang out, have

Saylor Cooper:

fun, low key, we just got show tips to lift our spirits.

Tyler Evans:

That's right.

Saylor Cooper:

But that's not all.

Susan Crews:

We know that sounds like we're a perfect match right

Susan Crews:

there. And I can't wait to see you. I can't wait to check my

Susan Crews:

schedule for May 5 and make sure I can get that on my calendar

Susan Crews:

because I do believe that we can lift each other's spirits and

Susan Crews:

the more we lift other people up, the more we rise to right

Saylor Cooper:

Oh, yes, no, oh, yes

Saylor Cooper:

can people people to be long ago, I agree with you, it's not

Saylor Cooper:

good.I won't mention specifics, but I've had, I've seen like,

Saylor Cooper:

couple of family and friends do this. And the way it affects

Saylor Cooper:

them, it's not good. Stress is not good. Chronic stress is not

Saylor Cooper:

good. Anger is not good. It affects, you know, it now it

Saylor Cooper:

doesn't affect them, it affects our family and friends as well.

Saylor Cooper:

And so you have to have that balance, and what you're doing,

Saylor Cooper:

Susan, I applaud you so much. Thank you,

Saylor Cooper:

Yeah.

Susan Crews:

thank you so much, you know,it has made a

Susan Crews:

difference in my life, it's made a difference in my

Susan Crews:

relationships, as, like I said, a daughter, a wife, a mom, a

Susan Crews:

friend, but it also has made a difference in my life. Because

Susan Crews:

once I learned that I needed to love myself and love myself

Susan Crews:

well, so I could love other betters, others better. And

Susan Crews:

that's really the mission there, you know, teach others how to

Susan Crews:

really genuinely love yourself, right? Because then all of us

Susan Crews:

can get out there and do better work. Saylor, you know, there's

Susan Crews:

And, you know, I think, in addition to learning

Susan Crews:

another funny story that I have that I share with people, you

Susan Crews:

know, when I was in junior high school, right? I had this

Susan Crews:

friend, his name was James James would go into the bathroom, and

Susan Crews:

he would come out and there were lockers, some girls lockers

Susan Crews:

right around that area, and he'd walk out of there. And he say,

Susan Crews:

oh, my gosh, I'm so good luck in. And, you know, at that point

Susan Crews:

in time, he probably was a little on the cocky side, right?

Susan Crews:

Or thinking a little more of himself. But at that point in

Susan Crews:

time, I couldn't even look in the mirror and not see my flaws,

Susan Crews:

right? The, whatever the flaws were. And that continued over

Susan Crews:

into my 40s. Right? Not being able to look in the mirror and

Susan Crews:

say, Susan, I love you or Susan, you're beautiful today. Right?

Susan Crews:

how to love yourself, I think when you learn how to love

Susan Crews:

yourself, wow, you're able to really put the things that are

Susan Crews:

of high value, what matters most on your calendars first. And

Susan Crews:

then you're able to get your work in there. And you find this

Susan Crews:

harmony. And when you find the harmony, the beautiful balance,

Susan Crews:

I kind of think of it like a music symphony, right? Where at

Susan Crews:

one time, you might have to play one instrument harder. And it's

Susan Crews:

not making pretty music, but it's what you have to do for a

Susan Crews:

measure. But then you come back and you make this beautiful

Susan Crews:

harmony sound, this harmonic sound. And that is when you were

Susan Crews:

in ease and flow. And that is when you can create the life you

Susan Crews:

love. Have your business, run your business, be on top of the

Susan Crews:

world. But yet be in love with yourself and take care of

Susan Crews:

yourself to love others better. And I think that's what it's all

Susan Crews:

about.

Saylor Cooper:

Yes. Always Love You.

Tyler Evans:

There you go.

Saylor Cooper:

There you go. That's good advice. I can't

Saylor Cooper:

agree with you more, Susan. I know.

Susan Crews:

We're limited on time are limited.

Saylor Cooper:

So I'd say let's go ahead and close out. And but

Saylor Cooper:

before we do, do you have any questions for us? Because if

Saylor Cooper:

not, Tyler, I want you to close out on customary endings.

Tyler Evans:

All right.

Susan Crews:

Sounds great. i think I am good Guys, I look

Susan Crews:

forward to seeing you on May 5.

Tyler Evans:

All right.

Saylor Cooper:

Awesome. And so Tyler, you take our customary

Saylor Cooper:

ending, please.

Tyler Evans:

All right. So what do you say to people who just

Tyler Evans:

feel down who need some inspiration? To get some hope?

Saylor Cooper:

And don't know where the turn?

Tyler Evans:

Yeah, and don't know where to turn?

Susan Crews:

Yeah. You know, the first thing that I would suggest

Susan Crews:

is take a moment and just be still and ask yourself the

Susan Crews:

question, Who am I created to be in this moment? And listen for

Susan Crews:

your inner tuition, because it knows. And then the other thing

Susan Crews:

I would suggest is to go look in that mirror and find one

Susan Crews:

something you like about yourself that you see it could

Susan Crews:

be the colour of your eyes. It could be a pair of earrings you

Susan Crews:

have on that day. It could be the way your shoelaces are tied,

Susan Crews:

but just find one saying if you've never been able to really

Susan Crews:

look at yourself and say I love you.

Saylor Cooper:

Exactly, that I can't agree with you more. It's

Saylor Cooper:

great.

Tyler Evans:

Yeah.

Susan Crews:

Yep.

Tyler Evans:

Well, it was. It was nice having you. It was nice

Tyler Evans:

to have you today.

Susan Crews:

Thank you, Matthew. It was great to be here guys.

Susan Crews:

Keep up the great work that you're doing. Keep on giving

Susan Crews:

people hope, because we all have something somewhere that has

Susan Crews:

happened, that we need to figure out how to put our chin up and

Susan Crews:

move forward.

Saylor Cooper:

Yeah, it was. It was so great having you on here

Saylor Cooper:

to your inspiration. Susan, let's live life and bliss

Saylor Cooper:

together. And let's have a good day, shall we?

Tyler Evans:

Yes, indeed.

Susan Crews:

Yes we shall

Saylor Cooper:

Alright, everybody's giving up for Susan
