Dr. Fab Mancini: What I thought today it would be a good opportunity to share with you some information and what I discovered over 25 years in practice, lecturing, researching, what are the three dimensions of self healing? You see, I know we're talking about chronic disease and what is the root cause of our problems. But one of the things that I did is that I started interviewing over 50 patients, some of them mine, some of them other friends that were told that they could never heal, but their body actually healed. And I was very interested in at least identifying, what were those common denominators, what allows somebody's body to heal from a deadly condition, chronic disease that somebody else has not been able to do so now we all know that health is very personalized. We all know that the one size fits all mentality of traditional healthcare has not worked, and it will never work, because your body and my body are very different. Not only are we different genetically, which is about 10 or 15% of the foundation of our health, but it's different because of our lifestyle, because of our epigenetics. So in this book, one of the things that I discover by interviewing these individuals is that we recognize that self healing, the healing power of the body. My book was called The Power of self healing became an international best selling sensation is still selling today, after 10 years, more than ever in this book, I recognized that there were three dimensions to healing. The first one was physical, which is the one that most of us live in. We look at our physical body and we try to find a physical solution to a physical problem. But that's not the biggest then I realized that they were those patients that were telling me that their root cause was emotional, maybe a resentment or an anger that persisted for years, that turned into potentially cancer, heart disease, diabetes, or perhaps somebody that was telling me that their depression and anxiety got to the point that their bodies broke down. So there's an emotional dimension to self healing. And lastly, this is the one that I personally felt all alone in my career of 38 years in this space that is really critical, and that is the spiritual dimension you see. We have to recognize that we are not human beings living a spiritual experience. We're actually spiritual beings living a human experience. And when you begin to look at life as a spiritual being, you begin to see potential, you begin to see perfection. You begin to see what is possible out there, instead of the limitations of a human being. So many of these patients were telling me that when they tapped into their faith, when they went into a meditation, when they recognized that nature was one of the greatest sources for them to heal all in the spiritual world, that's when their condition reversed. That's when their condition subsided. And that's really one of the things that I wanted to kind of share with you a little bit today, because I think as we're talking through this podcast about not only ending chronic disease, but also really understanding where health comes from. To me the secret and the reason that 38 years ago, I decided to become a doctor of chiropractic and then later on study acupuncture, energy, medicine, nutrition and many of the technologies out there that are helping us heal is because I realized that chemistry was not going to be the answer for over 80 to 90% of our chronic diseases. I knew that we have to tap into something bigger, because we have never seen chemistry pharmaceuticals actually eradicate any of the chronic diseases. I mean, they're lingering today more than ever, and we have to think differently. We have to think differently. And I get excited because I feel that at least here in the United States, I know this is being heard all over the world, but I clear the United States, we have somebody with Robert Kennedy Jr, that is actually trying to figure out the efficiencies and effectiveness of a health care system that is broken. But let me tell you, I travel all over the world. I lecture in over 25 countries. I have just seen American Airlines almost 4 million miles. And I can tell you.
Speaker:That most of the country's health care systems are broken, and that is because they're living on a paradigm that is about managing symptoms rather than getting to the root cause of the problem. And let me break down for you, at least the physical dimension of self healing. This is, this is really exciting for me, because I recognize, the more I got into healthcare, right in my studies, I decided to go to pre med. And in my pre med, I had amazing professors, and I went to a very incredible school at the University of Dallas. And then when I started parking University and got into my chiropractic work, I started taking courses like biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, embryology. These are all the basic science that really show us how incredible our human body is. This is actually a healing machine. Our bodies are designed to self regulate and self heal. I wrote about that in my book. I've been lecturing about that for many years, and I want people to understand that this is really something they already have. It's not something you have to go out there and travel somewhere far in the world to try to find an answer, no. You live in it every single day. You're just not activating it. So that's one of the things that I want you to really pay attention as you listen to this podcast, is the fact and reminder that you already have a self healing mechanism. Then we also recognize that of the things that I evaluated out there over 25 years that were the most impactful to this physical body. Nutrition was way up there. Now we know that today, people say that food is the new medicine, and they're not wrong. We're not going to find solutions in pharmaceuticals and chemistry that is created in a lab. We're going to find solutions by watching what it is that we put in this body of ours. You know, I gave this metaphor that if you look at your body, has a high performance card, let's say that you bought a Lamborghini, and now you're going to take the Lamborghini and you run out of gas, so you're going to go to the gas station, and the gas station, when you pull the nozzle, is going to give you options of what type of gas would you like to purchase, and you have from the cheapest to the most expensive. Now I can tell you that I don't know anybody that owns a Lamborghini that's going to put the cheapest gas into that cart. Why? Because it's a high performance card. It's like you're not going to use the cheap oil to change the oil is not going to you going to miss maintenance, because a high performance car, the only way that is going to give you the value of the money that you invested in it is by actually maintaining it with the best sources of chemistry and Maintenance and automobiles that you can find. Now imagine that you are this high performance car. So right now your body is your Lamborghini, and your mouth has a flap. Just imagine it for a minute. It has a flap that is going to say, instead of unleaded and super unleaded and the best possible is going to remind you every time you open your mouth, the flap is going to open, and it's going to say, consume more organic vegetables, consume less processed foods, consume less sugar. Foods, consume less toxicity in plastics, all of these things is going to tell you, and that's what you need to pay attention to. So I want you to play with me and begin to think of your body as a high performance card, and recognize that food is essential for that card to perform at the highest level. Then I realized that other than food, there was another thing that the data, research and science kept talking about, and that is the benefits of exercise movement. You see, our bodies are physical bodies. They are meant to move, not only to increase circulation, but increase the neurological pathways that are communicating in your body every day, in and out. A lot of times people ask me, Well, fab, why did you decide on chiropractic? Well, chiropractic is the leading natural health science in the world, and I wanted to be in that particular entity because I wanted to have the biggest impact that I could I did not want to prescribe. I wanted to engage my patients into taking responsibility for their health, and more importantly, I wanted to be in that space of promotion of health and wellness, and that's the reason that they honor me as one of the Hall of Famers of the wellness revolutionary movement. So I want you to think of your body as something that needs to move cause. Recently, if you're sitting down in a job, make sure that every 30 minutes you get up and even for two or three minutes, walk around your office, go walk around the hallway, maybe go rock around outside your building, but just move your body. Lately, I've seen that a lot of people have been using these medicine balls as their chairs. You know, I have a very fancy, ergonomic chair. Why? Because it keeps my form, my structure, in a very good place as I'm sitting down and working. But at the same time, I know that my watches reminded me to get up every 15 minutes and move around. Why do I do that? Is because I know that my body needs to be moved. So whether it's taking a walk with your dogs, whether it's just enjoying your neighborhood, whether it's going to a gym and doing something, doesn't matter what you do, just do something, get on the bike, get on the treadmill, lift some weights, or perhaps go into a park and playing with your kids, or maybe having the ability to run and run in your streets or whatever, but just move your bodies. And lastly, I realized that we needed to implement natural health professions. You see, many of these patients were telling me that traditional medicine was not giving them any answers, and they began to seek a second opinion or a third opinion, and for some people, a fifth opinion. It How can a different profession be able to support my tissue? So I give you an example for me as a doctor of chiropractic, many of our patients will come to us because they wanted to prevent a surgery of the back, let's say a des herniation. So they will come to me and say, well, I already had two opinions. They did an MRI, and they said I needed to have this surgery. Well, they didn't want to go under the knife, and they were seeking chiropractic care because somebody told them that maybe we could help them. So what we do is we evaluate that patient from a very different perspective than a medical doctor. We actually evaluate that patient, first of all, evaluating their structure, right? We take a look at all the vertebras and see how well they are aligned. Then we know that if the vertebras are not aligned properly, it can impact the soft tissue, which is your nerves, your discs, your ligaments, your muscles. So then we start looking at how do we correct that? And then we look at things like decompression, laser and other supplements that can actually help bring down the inflammation that is causing the herniation. And what do you know within three, six weeks, eight weeks, maybe that patient now no longer needs a surgery. See, that's a different approach. That's a holistic approach. But when you go to an acupuncturist, right, and they're going to evaluate your meridians, which is the energy or the QI of your body, right? And they have all the different meridians, and they're going to see whether it's too much energy, or two liter energy in those meridians, and they put a simple needle, or they do electrical acupuncture, or they do cupping, or whatever the form may be, they're going to treat that condition in a different place. So those were the three things that I identify as some of the most powerful things that you can do to self heal the dimension of a physical body. I'm going to recap it for you just so you know. The first one is, make sure that you recognize that the body has the ability to heal itself. And then the three things are, one, pay attention to the food that you eat right. Number two, move your body every single day, throughout the day. And lastly, add a natural holistic profession, like chiropractic, acupuncture, homeopathy, naturopathy, functional medicine, regenerative medicine, all of these new components that have actually shown, not only through science, but through a lot of practicality of patients, that they can help you now, Harvard Medical School said that exercise and all can reduce the cost of mortality by over 30% do you imagine that If you can just exercise on a daily basis, your mortality can be reduced by 30% that means you're going to live longer, right? Everybody's right now looking for longevity, well, exercise is one of the best things. And also, there was a blue souls research. As you know, blue souls are the areas where we have the healthiest people in the world living. And what they found is that these people have one thing in common, a nutrient dense, anti inflammatory food diet. That means that the foods that they eat are not processed, which has no nutritional value, very little.
Speaker:They're not toxified with all these dyes and all these. Serve it is that they put in there, in the foods, they're actually natural foods, organic foods that are very rich in nutrients, and that's what allowed them to live such a long life. Well, I hope you enjoyed this and the next one, I'm going to go into it, because is the emotional dimension of self healing. Now, this is one of my favorites, because I know, over the years, more and more science have realized that emotions change our chemistry. See, emotions can either create a healthy hormone or can create a detrimental or a bad hormone, and it changes the chemistry in your body. For instance, if you have a lot of stress, it increases the acid production of your stomach, which then potentially can turn into an ulcer, right? These are the things. Or if you all of the sudden, are extremely stressed, you increase the level of cortisol hormone, which is the stress hormone, is one of the most dangerous hoverings of the body, because it breaks your body down. So I started realizing that there was a mind and body connection, right? We don't talk about those things as much anymore. When I evaluate a patient, I look at three dimensions. I look at your physical body, I evaluate your emotional component, and then I'm going to get into your spiritual component, and that's how I've been able to serve so many 1000s of people over the years. When other people have failed, they say, What's your secret? I'm looking at the body from a different perspective. It's not that I'm anything special. I'm just making you aware that you are the special one, that you have this incredible body that is made up of physical, emotional and spiritual that is ready to serve you anytime you want to, as long as you support it, as long as you nurture it, as long as you give it what it needs, so it can give you what you need. So there are three motions that we discover that science backed it up completely that can help you emotionally heal. The first one is gratitude. And I'm telling you, I love this emotion because of all the emotions out there that I've studied, gratitude, in my opinion, is the most powerful one. I wake up every day with gratitude, and I go to sleep every single day with gratitude. If you hang around me for, let's say, a day or two, you will see me think and appreciate everyone around me, whether it's my family, whether it's people around me that work with me, whether it's people that I serve, whether it's the audiences where I lecture, whether it's the places that I support as a mentor to over 200 CEOs out there, whether it's the companies that I support because they're changing the global health in the world, and I want to be a part of that. So I want you to practice more gratitude every single day. I want you to recognize that gratitude, in my opinion, makes you appreciate what you have right now, even if it's very little, instead of always wanting something you don't have. That's what gratitude does. The second emotion is forgiveness. Now forgiveness is a beautiful emotion because we know that traumas of the past, whether where, when we were little, in our first seven years of life, traumas that maybe a death in the family, a breakup that was very hurting, a loss of a loved one, friend or husband or wife. I mean, these are things that can very much be traumatic to the body, and what happens a lot of times is because of your lack of willingness to forgive, you hold that resentment so long that it breaks your body down. I have had people where I lecture and I talk about the power of forgiveness, and I show people exercises, and one of the things that I do is I say, Well, right now, take a piece of paper and I or take out your fold, and I want you to scroll in your context, and I want you to find somebody that you feel you have not forgiven, but it's time to forgive them. It's time to let it go. Now, forgiving doesn't mean that you say what they did was right? It just means you're releasing that emotional attachment that is impacting your human body, right? Your emotional body, and that's the power of forgiveness. You have to let go that emotion, because that emotion is breaking your body down, and that's what we need to change. And then the last one, which is my favorite, is love. Many years ago, I went to a seminar and they were teaching us how to write our life mission. And I've been taught always how to write a. Mission for your business, but I've never been taught how to write a mission for your life. And they gave us a series of exercises, and primarily to dictate what it is that we feel is our mission for being here in my life. And the mission, of course, needs to be much bigger than anything that you're doing. So they gave us an exercise, they gave us a legal pad, and they told us to go somewhere in the hotel. We were in Miami, actually, so I went to the beach with my legal pad and I wrote a wrote a row. Now the catch is that they say we want you to write as many things as you can, but you got to summarize it into one sentence. You imagine that I went through that whole legal padding over two and a half hours. I wrote and wrote what my mission for life was going to be. And at the end of the exercise, I ended up with this sentence, to learn to unconditionally love myself so I can unconditionally love others. See, I believe that love is the foundation for all health, for all well being, for all happiness, for all potential. When you love yourself, you saying, I am worthy of more. I am worthy of something great. I am worthy to be the leader in my industry. I am worthy for the love of someone that truly loves me and doesn't do things to make me question their love. I am worthy of the love of my children. I am worthy of the love of my friends. I am worthy of attracting abundance of money. See, one of the biggest issues why people can attract or sustain money is because they don't love themselves enough. I mean, we've seen it with individuals that have won the lottery, and they think that amount of money is going to give them more self love. Well, they spend the money so quickly because their self love doesn't allow them to retain it. They can't value it, so they just spend it, or give it away, or whatever, and within two or three years, they end up in the safe or worse place than they started when they won the lottery. So I want you to practice more self love for yourself. I want you to, you know, be good to yourself, be patient to yourself, be kind to yourself, because those are the things that are really going to help you. Now, the National Institute of Health said that 90% of the doctor visits are stress related. You have to pay attention to the stress levels on your life. You have to find management ways of doing it, through gratitude, forgiveness, love, right? Those are the things you got to learn to breathe properly. These are all things that we have learned over the years that can lower your stress levels. Yale study showed that practicing gratitude improves the health and reduces depression just by simply practicing that so just know that your thoughts and emotions shape your health, what you think, what you feel and what you believe, matter as much as what you eat and how much you exercise. That's what I want to leave you with. And the last one is spiritual dimension of health. Now, when I wrote this and I was writing my last book, people were saying to me, why do you want to get into the spiritual world, why don't you leave that more to the religious people? And I said, Well, I'm a very spiritual person. I've always been and I said, I've seen the correlations, not only in my practice over the years. I've seen the correlation in my own personal life, and I've seen the correlation with all of these patients that I was interviewing, which many were telling me what the power of spirituality for their healing. Now, the role of faith plays a very important role in your healing. Now, it doesn't matter what you have faith in. It doesn't matter what religion you may be in. It What matters is that you believe in that one time, I remember that Bernie Siegel was a very big oncologist in the 80s and 90s, and he was getting success with cancer patients where other people were failing. And when I asked him, I said, Bernie, what are the attributes that really helps somebody put a cancer and remission. In your opinion? He said to me, Well, that's a good question. Fab. There are three things that we've observed in our clinical practice. The first one is how much faith they have in the provider that is delivering that treatment.
Speaker:See, he mentioned to me that it wasn't that important what treatment they were given, they have to believe in that provider, that that provider was the right provider for them, whether it was a medical doctor, chiropractor, acupunctures, osteopath, a naturopath, health coach, whatever it had to be somebody they truly have faith in. The second one is they had to truly believe in what. A treatment they chosen, if they chose a more conservative treatment like chemotherapy and radiation, or if they chose a a diet that was very specific for cancer, if they chose to do some of the treatments that we see today that are helping through supplementation and maybe even some of the technologies that we have available today, they just have to believe that that treatment is the right treatment for them at that time. And they he said last year, the most important one fab is that they have to have faith that the body can actually heal the cancer. See, one of the biggest things that I've learned in this individuals that I interview is that they all were resilient. They all believed that they were going to beat their condition. I have often trained doctors to please, do not let their diagnosis become a life sentence to their patients. We have already seen studies that you never want to tell a patient a particular time a frame that they're going to live or that this condition they're going to have to live with the rest of their life, or that this is going to be something that could end up killing them. Why would you put that out there instead? Why don't you work with that patient and inspire that patient to see what caused this in the first place, and are there any things that I can change right now that can help me alleviate that. So spirituality, your faith, is very important. The other one that we found is that just as your faith, meditation, many research show that meditation every single day, meditation is critical for your self healing, and meditation is where you either be in silence and you just let the silence guide you through that process. For some of us, that's a little bit more difficult, so we do what is called Guided meditation. So if I'm having a high blood pressure issue, I'm going to do a guided meditation on how to lower my blood pressure. If I'm having a digestive issue, I'm going to do a meditation that can guide me and visualize how to heal my digestive problem, I use a technology that's become very famous out there called braintap, where they have over 2000 meditations and guide sessions, but they also added the sound frequencies that can help stimulate the healing and also led life frequencies, where it's like a goggle that you wear, and then your body stimulated even more. And I'm telling you, my kids said that's the best present I've ever given it to them. So guided meditations, I'm a big fan of that. The other one is you have to be around nature. Nature is one of the most spiritual ways of healing. Why? Because when you look at nature, you see that you're part of something much bigger than yourself. When you look at the planet right and you say, Wow, how was this created? This was not created by accident, when you look at an animal, when you look under the sea and you look at all the speeches that live there, when you look at a sunset or a sunrise, you'll get inspired. You'll realize I'm part of something much bigger. And whatever your faith may be, you may call it Universal Intelligence, you may call it God, whatever that may be, I want you to know that you're part of something much greater. So we found that those patients that spend time with nature were able to heal much faster than the ones that never did that, the ones that just were bedridden, never left their house, became depressed, anxious, etc, and that began to be an issue. And then lastly, I would say, in the spiritual realm, I put also having a sense of purpose. And the reason for that is because I realized that no human being is created the same as anybody else. When you understand that you have a purpose that is very clear for you, it gives you the ability to get up every morning and know that there is something to do that you have to become instrumental, a contribution towards that mission, towards that purpose. The people that don't have a purpose in life, they just wait around and die, right? They just wait around and wait for things to happen. The people that sell field are the ones that they control. And say, No, I have to walk my daughter when she gets married, and that's coming up in a year from now, I cannot be in a position that I can walk her. It's my only daughter. I have to continue building my business. I just started a new company, and I have all these employees that depend on me. That's a sense of purpose, or, let's say it could be more philanthropic. I'm very much into trying to abolish or in the trafficking issue in the world, and you maybe support a foundation that focuses primarily on that, and that's where you want to put your effort, whatever your purpose is. Just know, having a sense of purpose that is clear is extremely healing on a spiritual plane. Now, Mayo Clinic has. Studies that show that prayer and meditation lower blood pressure, reduces stress and enhance recovery. The University of California also had a strength, a strong sense of purpose that reduces the risk of Alzheimer's and heart disease. Imagine just having a sense of purpose everything I'm telling you, it can be referenced by some of the best research that you will find out there. I want you to pay attention, because none of what I say it's gonna make a difference until you start acting on it. So healing isn't just physical, it's not just emotional, but it's also about your beliefs. Is about your spirituality is about the mindset connection with your physical body and your spiritual body, and is something and is believing in something greater than yourself. Just know that these three dimensions will guide you anytime that you're dealing with a chronic disease and you start thinking to yourself, could they be a physical root cause to my problem? Could they be an emotional root cause to my problem? Could they be a spiritual root cause to my problem? And once you identify that, then you do something accordingly, and that's how we're gonna get you to the point that you're gonna feel much better. I really thank you for listening. I hope that this session inspire you. I hope that you're now understanding how to maybe view your body from a different perspective, maybe value it, appreciate it a little bit more based on the things that I've shared with you at the science behind it, and most importantly, understand that you're not alone in this right we're right here next to you, helping you navigate through these issues that there seems to be so much confusion out there. And most importantly, if you like this podcast, make sure you share it with somebody that you love, because they may be struggling right now, and maybe something that we say here can actually benefit them. God bless you. Thank you so much for being with us. You.
