YBOP Intro/Outro:

Welcome back to Your Brain On Positive. All the love and support you need is residing inside of you. And we're going to make it easier to turn it off.

Jackie Simmons:

What if everything you've ever thought you knew about truth, about success, about outcomes about other people was wrong. It's all a made up story that was passed down from generation to generation. Babies are born totally free. And by the time we're five or six years old, we've stopped exploring, and we started a band. We still observe. After a while though, our observations get filtered, they get translated, they get interpreted, we start wrapping meanings around things. And dirty dishes in the sink, when I get home, at the end of the day, don't mean dirty dishes in the sink, they mean that my partner doesn't love me, and he's too damn lazy to clean up after himself. Not true. None of that is true. If they're just dirty dishes the same when it comes to our businesses, and our purpose in life, and what we're here to do, who we're here to serve, how we are here to manifest our gifts and our joy into the world and the biggest, brightest, baddest way possible.

Jackie Simmons:

We get told you can't do that. You can't do that you have to get into complicated funnels, you have to master software, you have to be willing to work 16 hour days, you have to do this, you have to have an email list, you have to have this you have to do it this way. You have to sacrifice your life for your business. If you're an entrepreneur, you have to be willing to do a three day event and turn right around and get up the next morning and do your sales calls with people.

Jackie Simmons:

I had two coaches. One of them who said after your event, Jackie, take the next day off three coaches to said after your event, you take the next day off because your brain won't function. You won't even know that it won't function you need to take care of yourself. And the third coach said, if you don't get up and make those phone calls, somebody else will know all about the follow up. Notice it's all about the flow. It's fit feels like effort, then you are trying to go upstream and everything that you want is downstream.

Jackie Simmons:

If it feels like effort, let it go and turn towards your joy. Remember the mindset would shed go find your joy go look around your house, find the things that bring you joy. And what I saw happen with the sales calls with the Quickstart calls with the pre event calls with the focus on you know, how many calls did you make what are your numbers do you have you know how many people bought etc. It wasn't filling out a checklist of this many calls this many yeses, this many noes. That was the issue. It was that it felt like a report card of success or failure for you. And that's not joy. You love talking with people you love helping them and what you were doing wasn't helping it was trying to meet what you thought was the agenda.

Jackie Simmons:

And the story. I didn't catch it soon enough. I didn't catch it soon enough. Not because we lost any money we did not not because there was any outcome that would have come that would have been different. But because it robbed you of your joy not just during the calls, but ever since and so I want you to accept my limitations and my request that you forgive me and that you forgive yourself for not protesting sooner. And then at the end of the day, if you get this one piece of information from this experience, that if it feels like effort, let it go.

Jackie Simmons:

Don't listen to anyone telling you you have to. They are wrong. They have to based on their BS, but don't let their BS become yours. Not anymore. Take out that trash. The only person you are here to please in this lifetime darlin is you and other people will choose to go on the journey with you. So trust that
