On Regret

On Regret

There are two main types of regret that people encounter in their lifetime; one stems from decisions made or actions taken that we’re not proud of and the other has us living in the past focused on some kind of action that we didn’t take or do.

Either way, if we focus on regret, we can get stuck in a loop of self-loathing - that has us externally lashing out at others or internally turning on ourselves because we feel like we missed out on something better due to our inaction or bad decisions.

The reality is, many times we can’t always go back to the original offense, mistake, trespass or moment of clumsiness and change our decisions or fix where we went wrong.

Instead we have to look at those moments as a learning opportunity in our lives, one where we can now reflect on the decisions made and gain knowledge in how we can do better next time.

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re looking at regrets, taking them up out of the basement and into the light (of the front yard) where we can see them, own them, feel our way through them and finally begin to make our way up out of the muck and begin our healing.

From here on out ... we can do it differently… we can do it better … and we can now choose “peace instead of this” and use our new awareness and commitment to transform our story into our glory.
