Lessons From the Kobe Bryant Tragedy

Lessons From the Kobe Bryant Tragedy

In our current world of social media and internet access, we tend to “feel” like we actually “know” everyone (even though we really don’t), especially when it comes to famous people. As a result, sometimes their deaths can catch us off guard or stir up a lot of deep, personal, and unexpected feelings.

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, I’m talking with my friend Bill Baren about this very topic in the face of Kobe Bryant’s recent passing. Together we’re exploring the depth and complexity of what this tragedy stirred up in each of us, the lessons and insights it brought forth and how we can use those feelings for betterment in our world as a whole.

One way or another, death is often a profound experience.   And when it comes to the death of celebrities, the aftereffect of it can sometimes be surprising.

In today’s podcast episode, Karen Kenney and I come together to talk about the recent passing of Kobe Bryant and what it means for each of us.  There are lessons here for all of us.

When someone we feel like we know (but don’t actually know) dies, it can stir up a lot of deep, personal feelings. We explore the complexity of those feelings and how to channel it into doing good in the world.
