Giving Credit Matters

Giving Credit Matters

It's really uncool to lift, use, and steal other people's intellectual property, words, ideas, quotes, music, all of it - without giving credit.

Now this doesn’t mean we can’t share what we learned from someone else, or talk about who or what inspired us, but this is where and why the importance of giving acknowledgement and attribution, must come into play.

The reality is, if you don’t give credit and you rely on copying others - instead of finding and using your own voice, you're not only taking from others, you’re also robbing yourself and the world of the opportunity to discover your own unique wisdom, words, and work!

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about giving credit where credit is due because on so many different levels, it matters.

This episode is my invitation to you, to slow down, take a good look at how you're showing up online, in your business and in your personal life and then ask yourself…

  • What do you want to do?
  • Who do you want to be?
  • How do you want to show up?
  • What are the core values that deeply matter to you?

And if you take nothing else away from today, remember this…

“It costs you nothing to give credit where credit is due, but it could cost you everything if you don't.”
