TAJ Intro/Outro:

The abundance journey explores all the ways abundance shows up to help you expand the abundance you embody Express and experience as your journey unfolds.

Elaine Starling:

Welcome, this is Elaine Starling. I'm the abundance ambassador, and the host of the abundance Journey podcast and video show. I'm so glad you could join me today, because we're going to be talking about miracles, you probably didn't realize this, that miracles are actually the norm. You're surrounded by miracles all the time. But it's really easy to start taking them for granted, and kind of dismissing them, and then being sort of pissy when they don't show up. Let me give you a few examples. Because this was really brought home to me big time earlier this week. So I, well, a few years ago, actually, I moved to this location, and I'm surrounded by oak trees and pine trees. And at the time, I didn't realize that I have a severe allergy to Oak and pine tree pollen in the spring. Well, I got so plugged up, I couldn't sleep I couldn't do out, oh my gosh, my whole head was just pounding. And, you know, trying to smell something, forget it. Trying to breathe was difficult, just tasting things. No. And I was miserable. Well, once we finally managed to get me through that allergy phase, and now I've adapted, I still get a little bit of sinus issues, but not nearly as bad. All of a sudden, it's like, oh, my gosh, I can use my nose. Again, my head works. It's a miracle. But see, the miracle is that my head works most of the time. And there's just one or two times hasn't been anything since I've been using hand sanitizer religiously. But, you know, the norm is the miracle. Let me give you another example. So I was on vacation recently wonderful time in upstate Vermont. It's absolutely beautiful there. And it's a great camp that we go to we own and we get to visit every year. The only challenge is there's no Internet, and there's no cell service right at the camp, we have to go about two miles before we get to an area where we can get cell coverage, and then check our email and stuff like that. So I had a pretty much enforced technology hiatus. I could go and check messages. But it's not like I could do meetings or attend conferences or any of that stuff. Because I was parked at the side of the road. I didn't want people to think I was loitering or anything, right. So I realized, wait a minute, this is a blessing. Having access to technology is one of the miracles. But being separate from technology is also a miracle. Because I get to unplug, I get to be present in my life, I get to be present with the people around me. And so I'm distracted by my cell phone and feeling like I have to keep up and follow up with people. They can wait, they knew I was on vacation. It wasn't a big deal. And so what a blessing to be aware of the miracle that is technology, and also the lack of technology. Both ways are a miracle that open me up to have incredible experiences. So then yesterday, very exciting. I'm finally home from my vacation, I'm checking all my emails and everything. And all of a sudden, there's this really loud noise, and my computer goes completely blank, and then started up again. And I realized we had a power outage, our Tesla batteries, we have a solar system and the Tesla batteries were keeping things going but I had to shut down the computer turn off the air conditioning turn off the water heaters turn off a bunch of stuff to make sure that we had enough energy in the Tesla batteries to keep things going like the refrigerator. And as the electricity disappeared, I thought oh,

Elaine Starling:

I was like the slow motion. Oh, please no. And they stopped purchasing and I laughed at myself. Wait a minute, I have errands I need to run. I'm back from I gotta pick up my mail. I gotta pick up packages, I gotta hit the grocery store. I don't need to be online for any of that stuff. And I don't even need to be in my house. That stuff. So why stress out about it, that I already got a notice from our energy company that they're working on it. I'll just give them the space to get it done. And send them love and blessings. Everything happens for a reason. Everything happens for my highest good and I can take it As of this time, so I did. And when I got back, the power was back. And I was able to do everything on again. How can it get even better than this? It was really, really funny because we were using a rental car while we were on vacation. And we were in some pretty remote spots and the Great Northeast Kingdom. And we went in some areas of the car had one of these screens in the front that would show you the map. And it's always interactive stuff. Every once in a while, we get to a spot where it could not connect with the mothership, there was just nothing there. And the car screen could still drive and everything but the screen was suddenly go blank. And then the whole thing would reboot. It's like, oh, no, Alert, alert, we don't know where we are anymore. Because we can't see the cell tower. It was really funny. It really turned the car into a unique personality that we got to interact with. And my husband and I had a ton of fun, just kind of ragging on the car for freaking out. It couldn't connect with the mothership is really fun. Miracles are everywhere, everywhere. The fire, the fact that you have decent sight that you can hear that you can smell things that you can taste things that you can touch things, that you have incredible experiences with other people, that you can have relationships with people that you can do zoom meetings with people around the world, that you can listen to podcasts that you can watch video shows, that you can interact, that you can expand and grow, that you are love. All of those things are miracles. They really are not cool.

Elaine Starling:

It's time for us to activate abundance. Because you know, the thing that's really interesting is we get busy, and we get distracted. And we take things for granted. And then we just get pissy when things aren't going the way we want them to. But every single experience we have, is designed to be a blessing. It is an opportunity for us to come with love to the situation to be the love that's needed now. The love for ourselves, and be love for others. That's the whole deal. So let's celebrate what's going on here. Let's celebrate in advance that you have this incredible opportunity to experience miracles all the time. Because that's really all that actually exists is miracles. That's it, it's everywhere, it's all the time, all you have to do is notice them, pay attention to the miracles and feel gratitude for the miracles that you notice. Because when you live in that space of gratitude, it just opens you up for more and more things to be grateful for. So why wouldn't you do that. So celebrate in advance that miracles are everywhere. How cool, then you want to acknowledge the miracles you notice. And I love to acknowledge miracles by activating abundance, which is what we're doing right now the five step process where you celebrate in advance, you acknowledge something you notice that you think is important that makes a difference, you appreciate the kind of difference that can make in your life, you activate abundance by either giving yourself a trigger that reminds you to do something, or actually putting it on your calendar, so that you're incorporating it into your daily life. That's how you activate it. And then you celebrate again, for all the progress that you made. Okay, so I like to do that as my acknowledgement piece. And in terms of appreciating miracles that are everywhere, I'm made to make a point of saying thank you to the Divine all the time. In fact, I've gotten so that I like to say, Infinite Love and Blessings to you divine. Because I'm always asking for infinite love and blessings. I'm always sharing infinite love and blessings with others. Of course, I want the divine to experience Infinite Love and Blessings by one night, right. So I appreciate that connection that I have. I appreciate the opportunity that I have to experience miracles in every moment. Because that's all there is. An all I have to do is pay attention and appreciate them. So saying thank you is a great way to appreciate them. Now, step four, activate abundance. And what I'm doing for this process of miracles and noticing miracles is I make a point of writing down some of the miracles that I experience every day. I did this this morning, and I just want to share some of the miracles that I got to experience today. The miracle of love, because I get to witness my husband supporting me and taking care of us when the power went out, he has a checklist of different things to turn off, and he knows what to do. And I'm just so blessed that I get to share my life with this amazing man. And then the second miracle was that the power went out, which pointed out the miracle of having electricity, most of the time when we want it, and all the blessings that come when I disconnected because I don't really have to have it all the time to live a wonderful life. And being aware of that is really cool. Another blessing that the Tesla batteries kicked in, to keep the refrigerator going. So I don't have to worry about all the food going back. That's a huge blessing. And then another blessing, the power came back on. That was amazing. That was a miracle. There are so many people who are experts at what they do, figuring out what's wrong and fixing it. And I don't have to do any of that. All I need to do is send them love and blessings and keeps thinking Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. And they're doing it for me. It's awesome. This collaboration that we have, that's a miracle. I also have a ton of fun with dear friends, I didn't get a chance to chat with them for the two weeks that I was on vacation, and I really missed them. So getting to do that Zoom meeting with them was fabulous. And I've been having a bunch of trouble with my internet connection. When I'm on zoom the last five months. My internet's just been really choppy every time I do a zoom meeting. But this time, it was perfect. It was perfect. There were no hiccups. There was no spooling. There was no nothing wrong. It worked great. What an incredible blessing. I got a chance to chat with my brother in law last night. He's doing great, super happy for him very excited for him. And we love watching murder mysteries. And one of our favorite series, now has a new season. And so we started watching the new season another miracle. How cool is that? These are not huge, overwhelming things. Because miracles are what your life is made of. So when you can take the time to acknowledge, appreciate and activate those miracles by writing them down and being grateful for them. Even more miracles come to pass. How cool is that? And then of course we celebrate afterwards because living a life of unending miracles. How can it get better than this? I don't know. But I'm gay. Bring it on baby. I love that question. How can it get even better than this? I learned that question from Deborah Ponton. And boy is she brilliant. What I love about that question. It's acknowledging the blessings in the moment and all the miracles that I'm experiencing right now. It's expressing gratitude for everything that I'm already experiencing. And it's telling the divine that I'm ready for more, bring it on baby, show me the stuff because I can handle it. I'm ready for it. I'm ready to be the love that's needed in this moment. And experience the love that I'm bringing. This is Elaine Starling. I know it gave you a lot to think about there. And I really hope you listen to this again. Listen to it a few more times and have a conversation with a friend of yours about it. Because miracles are everywhere. Miracles are the norm. And if you want to see a really powerful miracle look in the mirror. You're probably the best miracle there is. This is Elaine Starling. Thanks for joining me. I'll see you next time.
