Something New Within EP:15

The people in life that we admire are a direct reflection of the qualities we have within us. Instead of bumbling through life, always waiting till we are ready, let's take a look at some of your, greatest qualities, thoughts and ideas and look within for our true answers.   In this week’s episode, I will walk you through steps to find clarity by asking your heart for a clear answer to the thing!  It's very clear if we take a minute to ask.  I will help you recognize some of the fear that comes up instantly and understand it's just fear, let it go and take action to one thing this week that will help you move forward.

About the Host:

When we are inspired by our own thoughts, we feel a true sense of joy, creativity, and the energy of infinite potential or possibilities that are available to us. Then someone needs a snack and the thoughts have gone. I am here to say YOU matter. My name is Carrie Lecuyer, I am an empowerment coach for moms with a feeling that there is more on their hearts and I want to help you reconnect and re-align with your souls purpose and passion and remain a great MOM.

As a mom of two little boys who love mud, I have visions, goals, ideas, and thoughts. Sometimes they only lasted for seconds, and the rest of the day I spend cleaning up after my kids.

Over the past 20 years, I spent 15 years in a fast-paced career development and personal development environment. I have completed 26 half marathons, crossed the finished line at Ironman Canada, and became a mom. It has been the most amazing journey with so many lessons. I know for a fact that the moment I made a decision, clarity in all directions appeared.

I am here to help you connect with what lights you up, through 1:1 coaching.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Hello, my friends and welcome. You're listening to soul inspired decisions, podcast for ordinary moms living extraordinary lives. My intention with this podcast is to teach, motivate and inspire by sharing stories, tools and strategies to help you unlock your greatest fears, annoying habits and old stories and make a move towards the things that have been on your heart. If you have been a little lost, or in a funk, and want to reconnect with your purpose, your passion and feel empowered again, then this is the best place for you to be hanging out. My name is Carrie liplay. And I'm an ordinary mom making extraordinary decisions. This is me putting one foot in front of the other, moving towards my next goal, and hoping to inspire you along the way. Let's get started.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Hi, everyone. I'm Karina liqui. And I love personal development. And for me, this happened over 15 years ago, in a career and a job that I took with the unknown, not really known. And it led into opportunities of personal growth, which then led him to more realizations that lie can be so happy, so free. And even though there's so many things that get in our way and are discouraged us each and every day, we can be 50% happy during the day and 50% crappy during half the day and still make our greatest dreams and desires come true within the life that we have. And that's what this is all about. So entire decisions came to fruition. Two years ago, when I decided I wanted to do a podcast, I wanted to be an example to moms to women's out out there that I am a mom who stays home with my kids and can still have all the great things I'm not coming from an attorney high end, high achieving career of media news, all the things and then we get sucked into Wow, there's so great on camera, they're so great on Instagram, they're just so amazing. And then you kind of get devastated when you think oh, well, they came from a great big background. This podcast is for moms to identify that you can just start something great how ever you are in your life. Today, you can make a choice, you can make a decision that's based on the things around you, your family, your your feelings, your thoughts, your ideas, and move towards them without having a big influence behind you. Because in reality, whatever you're going through your story can help somebody. And whether it's starting from the bottom of building a business, or going back to school, starting something new. You can share your thoughts and ideas and find new people with common ground to help move you and motivate you to these new higher vibrations. And it's such a great feeling even though sometimes it does feel very lonely. So soul inspired decisions is for women and moms who are building something or building a business who are building a company who are building a career who are trying to get off the couch in the morning who are trying to decide whether to go back to school, just trying to be the best mom that they can be the best woman that can be at this point in your life. And that starts with you showing up today right here making a decision about just being present. So for the next 15 minutes, just be present with me and think of the questions that I'm asking and the things that I'm talking about. Because things don't come easy to me, I have to work for them, as do they do for everybody else. And I'm here to share my stories to help move you to your next step in your life.

Carrie Lecuyer:

So this podcast is called something new within. And I hope that you take a little bit of something out of it. Because when we transform ourselves, everything else starts to shift around us. And I'm sure there's a time in your life where you can think back upon where you are extremely happy and things moved really quickly for you. In a sense, it's manifestation, but they are aligned with your thoughts and your actions. And things moved quickly. And we want to get you to a place where that happens again. So you can still have all the things going on in life. But for the 15 minutes that you sit down to decide and work on the thing that you love, and you're doing whatever that looks like to you that you make things happen within those 15 minutes and they feel really good to you. Because something new comes into your life when you want it to something new comes within when we decide and new possibilities are always coming from within and it's our higher self. It's our it's got its budaya it's the angels

Carrie Lecuyer:

Whatever you want it to be your soul, speaking to you on the next potentially creative opportunity that will move you to a greater life. And we all have really great lives, we just got to be grateful for the things we have, and things will start to show up automatically. And it's a really big shift. And it takes time. And it takes practice. And it's a daily effort. And it's changing your mindset from where you are now to where you want to be. So you have to really ask yourself, right now, today, where I'm at, it's this or something better. And for me, I always want something better, I always want something better for me, for my kids, for my family. And for my husband, I want something better for us all the time. And we get in these ruts where we feel like we're being held down and held back. And that's not true. That's our mind that our mindset, that's our negativ mind chatter. And to transform out of that it becomes an everyday effort. Total Transformation comes from total clarity on the person you want to be with, you want to be a really great mom, with the first thing that you can do today to make that happen in the next hour to make that happen, and focus on the day or the hour, don't focus on the whole week, because that's overwhelming, and we'll quit. Same with whether we're wanting to lose weight. We're not focusing on the whole week of doing really good we're focusing on today, what can I do today to get me to the end of the week, with my goal I had in mind, we all have this inner call this burning of thoughts in our mind, and we have to take control. We don't want to Bumble through life every single day, because years pass, we need to take control of the ideas and the thoughts we have. And it's kind of like we don't need to let go of the fear. If we wait too already, we'll never be ready. If we wait till should hits the fan, then we're doing it out of desperation. And if we wait for more time, or more money, it doesn't exist, we have to create it ourselves. It doesn't just get handed to you. Everything we do in life, everything I've done in life is because I've made the effort to do it and made that mental decision I can pinpoint when I look back on the moment that I made the clear decision to move forward. So with going after a career that I wanted, and love going after a second education going after Iron Man going after a podcast creating the changes.

Carrie Lecuyer:

They all came with a single moment that had to do with me, it didn't matter what anybody else thought it didn't. My husband couldn't tell me no, because I had already decided my sister couldn't tell me no, I had already decided my parents had no saying that because I had already decided.

Carrie Lecuyer:

And when you decide you take steps forward, and the people around you just automatically support you because you become happy. There's a happy place. And it's earned by deserving this greatness because you've made a decision decision.

Carrie Lecuyer:

So starting a business, if that's what's on your mind, this is super great. You know, if you want to get to six figures, in a year or in 10 years, super awesome. But it starts with the decision on making that happen. What are you going to do? Is it something you're making? Is it something you're starting? Are you joining network marketing? Are you joining somebodies company? What does it look like for you to start? Maybe it's just you want to make $20,000 extra year? Perfect goal, how are you going to start? It doesn't matter if it's a million dollars, it doesn't matter if it's $20,000. You have to make the mindset shift that you're going after that. And that's where you start. When you believe in yourself enough to start the journey. Things automatically start to fall into place, you automatically take steps forward that two weeks ago, you would have found really hard.

Carrie Lecuyer:

You find the people you need once you decide the kind of fall into alignment they fall into place. You notice more things around you that resonate with that piece, whether it's business, whether it's going back to school, whether it's becoming a better mom better communication and your relationship in whether it be your family or your spouse, your partner, you can make the changes in that. But it has to start with you because we can't remember we can't change things around other people. We can't make other people happy. And as soon as we start and make ourselves happy, little trickles will fall around you. And it's quite magical on how things change. So if you want to start taking some action, what do you think is the first step that you're going to do? Now, if you say, I don't know, that's not true. I can tell you right now, it's the number one thing. That is not true. We do know. So what I can ask you to do right now is place, I hand over your heart, take a deep breath, and just simply ask your heart what it really wants, based on that specific question. And it's, the first answer is the right answer. Always. And that's the most beautiful thing about it. It's, if it's negative, if it's a negative thought, it's fear. Fear doesn't exist in a positive empowering plan. It doesn't. That's our fear. That's our ego, that's the devil, trying to shut us down already. Because we are trying to change our mindset enough to start something new. And our body doesn't like, it likes comfort, we all like comfort.

Unknown:

So by just putting your hand on your heart, envisioning what you want, and asking the question, What does my heart want to do with my business with this program with this, as a mom in my marriage, what is my heart want me to do. And the teachers that are out there, the farmers, the accountants, the CEOs, the designers, the coaches, the the nurses, the the people who own coffee shops, the anybody that you can think of who you look, as a mentor, that they're doing something great, and they seem so happy about it is they started with the vision, they started with something on their heart. And they basically ask themselves, this is it, it's this or something better, and they went for the something better. And there's going to be a lot of hard things within their scope of what they're doing. But the bigger picture is that their vision, so we don't get to know their stories, we don't get to know all the hardships, we just look at, that's an inspiration to us. And that's what we want. That's we are desperate to find. We are desperate to find inspiration within ourselves to do what they do when we look at other people and are inspired by them is because it's the piece of you, that you admire about yourself. It's there you have it, you just got to figure out your first step. This is about you listening to your heart, connecting the vision with your heart, and the first thing that comes to mind, is what you're supposed to do. It's with within where it starts. It's truly within where it starts, you will automatically start to educate yourself, you will start to learn new things, you will start something new, you will start talking to new people learning new techniques. And this has been so true in all the things that I've done. So growing a background and career development and being a career practitioner, I was one of the best in Alberta for career development, scholarship foundations and

Carrie Lecuyer:

the registered pressure program and trades and I knew it all it. I never thought in high school that I would be leading a career development program for a school division. But it just came naturally and the more I sucked myself into it to helping teachers and students become the best version that they can be at this moment in life was so rewarding and fulfilling to me that I just wanted to do more and I submerge myself in every meeting every course everything possible to get me to the next level to help somebody new. And again, with Iron Man, I knew nothing about triathlon my first started, but all of a sudden once I decided things started happening, all of a sudden a coach was there to help me at a really good price. All of a sudden Giroux was showing up other races were available.

Carrie Lecuyer:

training time was there. Like I don't even know how I had the time to tramp vironment. But in the moment, in that year, 14 months, that's what I had mentally decided to do. And time was just available. And we can listen to the clock. We all know what the clock says the clock does Tick Tock. That's time disappearing on us. And we got to be aware and relevant in what we're doing to make steps because we can waste all the time in the world each and every day.

Carrie Lecuyer:

If we're very unclear of what it is we want if you're unsure, if you are wasting time and you have no idea where to start. You are not clear enough on what it is you want. That's the bottom line. Once You become clear. everything falls into place. Now, if you're scared, if you're afraid that's part of it. That's part of it. That's part of your journey. And it's, you're not scared of the project the idea but thought, we're actually scared of how others will look at us. How will our kids look at what will our partner say? What will our parents say? What will others be saying about me? That's what we're truly scared of. starting something new is how you begin, starting from scratch, like a business like change vision. That is scary. And that's how people start from the ground up. Great inventors in the world didn't just have it all. They started with an idea. If you have an idea, it is there for you. You begin the process by working through those scary feelings, acknowledging what they really are, what they're really coming from. And what can you do about that? You don't want to become anxious about it. If you're becoming anxious about it, there's something else there that's bothering you.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Because when you're anxious about the thing that you want to do, there's just a fear. And when you get by the fear when you acknowledge it, you know, let me tell you chasing the dream is super amazing. Once you figure out that you truly are in, and you're in for the whole long haul. It's, you know, the end goal. You don't get to know everything in between. That's the journey. That's the hard part. Someone said to me in the grocery store once. Hey, Carrie, I heard you're doing Iron Man. That's gonna be really hard.

Carrie Lecuyer:

And I said, No, I actually don't think so. And she was instantly taken back by my comment, and it still sticks with me today. Because I remember wasn't hard. I never had adult that I would complete it. From the moment that I decided I was going to do it. It never entered my mind that I would not complete it. But the hardest part was everything else in between.

Carrie Lecuyer:

The day of was the greatest day of my life. It was a long day. It wasn't hard, because I had did everything I needed to do be there that day. And it lined up so perfectly that it was almost like, I can't even tell you how magical this experience was. Was it a long day? Yes. Was it tiring? Yes, all the things. But the harder part was everything. From the moment I decided to the moment the race happened, that was the tough part. The multitasking, the scheduling, the finding the time, the everything. Same with building business, it's going to be from the moment you decide to the moment you start, everything in between that is going to be feel like a chaotic, race, mess, whatever you want to call it. And you probably if you're in it, recognize that that's what's happening. And just take a step back and just take another look at what's happening and how you can maybe

Carrie Lecuyer:

calm things down a little bit in what you're doing and realign and revamp what you're doing. What you're feeling is meant for you and it's amazing. And it's your journey. It doesn't matter how small you start, just start something, something that matters to you. Change is seeing all the thing, feeling all the ways we're supposed to feel. And sometimes it's terrifying and scary. That's growth. If you're going to back down as soon as it feels tough, you'll never move forward in anything.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Wrong. Growth is tough. Change is tough, but it's the best part about you the skin going to bring you in business, bring you in ideas, bring you in more money bring you in more, more friendships, better relationships, better relationships with your spouse, your partner, your kids, whenever you have it changes everything instantly. So what is the coach? Why doesn't she get a real job? This is what I get from especially older people I shall say I am. I am a life coach. I am a certified life coach. I have a diploma in life coaching. I took the time and went to school. That all the training that all the interviews to the practicum all the things, nobody at the time knew what that was. But through the process of becoming a coach, I was able to help the one person who needed the most, which was my husband, changed careers. With my background in career development. Plus than all the new knowledge and questions I was gaining as a coach, I was able to simply ask my husband, if you if you wasn't happy with the career he was doing them, what does he want, and exploring all of those things. So my biggest advocate in life is my husband and and the second one would be my sister, because they've used pieces of me to help them move forward in their life. And is it hasn't been easy Gz for any buddy, not a chance, making the decisions they've made, were extremely hard. All I did was ask them questions to get them thinking about what they wanted to do with their lives. We have one life to live, it's very short. So what is it he you want to do? Where do you want to stand up? What do you want to become? Who do you want to be known as, if you need to change something, it needs to start with you. Take the opportunity to lead, start small, where you're going, you don't get to know how it's going to go.

Carrie Lecuyer:

But you do know that there's a vision. And that's how you start, you start small. That's where the journey begins.
