What the Heck are Microaggressions Anyway?

What the Heck are Microaggressions Anyway?

Microaggressions aren’t just found in racism, sexism, or towards LGBTQ2 communities. Found anywhere power structures place one group of people above others, microaggressions are based in community biases. They are accumulative and help to enforce status quos. Humans stuck down, what I call, The People Pleasing Rabbit Hole understand microaggressions as cues to how they should BE in the world.

Microaggressions send impactful messaging on a verbal level, but significantly also on the body level. Because we believe body-level messaging far more than they believe in verbal messaging, we need to recognize somatic microaggressions. Then we can begin to break down the scaffolding that creates and maintains The People Pleasing Rabbit Hole.
