What was your biggest disappointment in 2019

What was your biggest disappointment in 2019

And what were your biggest accomplishments and what was the difference?

When I talk with my friends, family and clients, I look for the words that I have heard before. The ones that keep coming year after year. And I think to myself, what are the things in my life that I have refused to change even though they make me unhappy.

And then my curiosity is peaked and a new opportunity for change arises in my mind. We all have them, don't you think? The things that we drag along with us, refusing to let go of people, events, places. But also, the way of living that leaves us uninspired and wanting something different, but not making the choices to change. https://www.lifecoachadele.com

And then we go deep, into the mind science of change. Our mind finds what is familiar comfortable. Even the nasty stuff. Abusive relationships, bad habits, negative people and even worse a career that stifles our very being.

And yet we stay. Year after year, I hear the same themes, yet witness no change. I agree that sometimes we feel we are stuck and that we have no way out. And I know absolutely it is never the way it seems.

When I found myself drowning in a plane that crashed and flipped in water. Not only was I disoriented by gravity, the current, trapped but I had a mouth full of water. My limbs began to tingle, and I knew my moments on the planet were limited. At first, I did utter those self-limiting words, I can't get out. Nothing changed, I remained trapped as my life flashed before my eyes.

Why? because I hadn't asked my mind for help. I gave my mind the absolute, that I "can't" get out. When we get that our mind believes us absolutely. Then we see how we can feel stuck. Limit our ability to see another option. Our words unlock our minds incredible data base. But I didn't know that yet, so I continued to die.

I felt myself separate from my body. From somewhere above that plane, I watched passively until my future was revealed. Inside my mind, I watched the police walk through my parents' front yard, up those big red brick stairs and knock on that big wood door. The conversation heard through changing expressions. What brought me back was my Mom's horrified scream.

Inside my head, her screen ricochet off my skull. It was then I made a choice that changed the outcome. I vowed to get out of that plane and to do it now.

And that choice changed saved my life but also changed my beliefs in what is possible when we say I can rather than I can't. Neuroscience supports my understanding.

And we see testimonies everywhere. Mindfulness is mainstream. But what we read and what we practice may be very different. the conversations haven't changed much.

So, here is another way of looking at it. What were the disappointments from last year? What were the big wins? What, was the difference? Think back through these events and discover why certain goals succeeded and others fell away.

What were the differences. And believe me, the subconscious mind can recall. It downloads everything we see, hear, taste, smell and feel. At incredible capacity it stored our engagement with the world. It is here that we have the power to rebuild the neuro pathways of our mind.

Within our mind we have the greatest abilities to change not only our circumstance but the world itself.

I have experienced the truth of choice. And I know unconditionally that even in life's most dire circumstances, out of breath, out of time, we still have choice.
